Dear Followers,
This is a tough one to announce. It’s with a heavy heart that we are announcing that our last day of trading in Brixton Village will be on Sunday 9th April. We have had the most amazing two years and being part of the Brixton Village community has been our absolute privilege. We were so warmly welcomed in by our fellow traders and brilliant market suppliers, from Phil to Bewar and Brian. Their wise advice and great sense of humour was always welcome!
There is no doubt that the past few years have been tough at times in the market. It certainly wasn't the easiest time to open a restaurant, with covid doing its best to spoil the party. We persevered and learnt so very much through the experience but with the cost of all goods continuing to soar, eye-watering energy bills knocking on our door every month and no sign of it coming down any time soon, we believe the wise thing to do is cut our losses and come back another day.
A massive thanks to our customers. From the one-stop visitors to our regulars and everyone else in between. There are few more satisfying things than repeat business. It was so lovely getting to know you all and thanks for bringing your friends and family along.
Thank you to all the team who made it all possible. We are gutted you were not given the opportunity to have smashed it this summer which you would of, and some.
Special shout out to Chris who has been a complete boss this last 6 months, built a brilliant team that love to work for him. We are so grateful of all your hard graft. We wish you all the best in the future.
We will now be concentrating on our venues in Gloucestershire - you can find our wood-fired pizzas there and much more, with our other pub a few miles down the road which is well known for its juicy burgers and lovely rooms. Last but not least we have our stunning wedding venue Old Gore Barn by .
We'll also be keeping an eye out for another opportunity in London. If the right one pops up, we'll leap on it.
