Today’s choon from Le Beat Bespoke comps is from the album that started the series back in 2004. Going Going Gone by Phil Wainman. The succesful songwriter and producer for the Sweet amoungst others. This is a groovy pop s**e dancer from 1968 with Pounding drums, rolling piano and catchy chorus. Enjoy.

The original is a great soulful jazzy pop choon that was just crying out for some fuzz. I knew just the man, Mr Trev Harding from Big Boss Man with Nasser Bouzida at the controls, a brand new groovy version was born. The best garage band in recent history were visceral, with attitude and total sprawl: an uncontrolled live deflagration. But to our vital rejoicing, they have come back after five long years to celebrate 20 years since their birth in 2003. And they have done so with genuine and justified sold-outs in the few shows they have decided to do in a couple of cities, proof that they were sorely missed. Humble and authentic as they were before they became underground idols, they have returned for money to live and because Wau y los Arrghs! keep on singing in spanish and still want to tear everything down.
