Olcay Bayir will be here on Friday, 18th October, performing stunning songs rooted in the Anatolian folk music tradition, infused with a dynamic, contemporary twist.
Today, we’re proud to highlight our Trinity Buoy Sounds programme as part of the #CultureMakes day of collective action, focussed on Education.
Working with three schools in and around Trinity Wharf (Tower Hamlets and Newham) we delivered in-school workshops (tabla, songwriting and production) culminating in a music festival showcase. This video shows our Bengali Beats concert; the headline act was delivered by Sohini Alam and her band Khiyo a Bengali/British band based in London.
Our organisation leads in creating more opportunity and better outcomes for students in the schools where we work.
