Can anyone help this wonderful London theatre charity find a new T-shirt supplier?

We're in search of a new T-shirt provider!

Our previous supplier surprised us with a non-negotiable 65% price hike without prior notice, so we're looking for someone new who can help us out. Here’s what we need:

Navy Blue T-Shirts for our staff and volunteers:
- 9cm embroidered logo (size negotiable)
- 2cm high names embroidered (also negotiable)
- Sizes: Adult S to ###XL

Black T-Shirts:
- Available in both children's and adults' sizes with the same embroidery. As modelled here by Members Abi & Phoebe!

Ideally, we’d like to order Navy Blue T-shirts in batches of 10-15 as needed. For the Black T-shirts, it would be awesome if parents could order directly from the provider.

Life's better in stereo!
But is it... really?
I mean 3D cinema keeps making a comeback. Home 3d video has already been and gone as a fad this century. I've never been that impressed with it - it barely adds more dimension to an image than turning up the contrast.
Apparently audiences of the earliest 3d movies in the 1950s were astonished and terrified, though.

I built this little side-by-side 3D rig to investigate further.
The challenge is that a good stereogram needs a lens-to-lens distance similar to that of human eyes, while most camera bodies are too big to allow that. Hence the odd configuration here.
It's a ridiculously awkward camera to shoot with. It will be a while before I'm comfortable with using it.
There are still some deep settings to unlock in the cameras that mean we're not getting identical saturation and white balance in both cameras, so the effect doesn't work that well.
There is a free app that takes the two HDMI streams and maps them on the left and right screens in android-based VR headsets so you can preview the effect in real time.
But the easiest thing is to start both cameras at the same time with an infra red remote and point them at something!
Results to come!

I love my forays into illustration work.
(especially when I'm not the one producing the shoot!)
And even more so when there's a brief to shoot components for compositing and nobody has any idea what the final thing will look like. It's very exciting when a finished design comes back from our friends at Desk Tidy few weeks later!

A Little Patch of Ground - Birmingham 2022
I'm just filing stuff away after working on this great project on and off for a few months.
Together with the team from Parrabbola we created an hour-long tour that looks at links between Poland, Shakespeare, Birmingham's Shakespeare library and the city's Polish community. The tour included live performances of famous Shakespeare speeches by Polish actor Leszek Tarasewicz and readings by actor Hania Lange from a specially-commissioned text by Ola Sakowska. In between the stops, there was an audio tour featuring interviews with the Polish community about their feelings about Birmingham and Shakespeare, translated and performed by yours truly and Ola. The photography and filming were done on virtually the only dry day that week when the trains were working normally. Thanks to producer Skylar Mabry for carrying the flag, keeping everyone safe and our director Phillip Parr for bringing everything together.

I bought a thoroughly battered camera!
What on earth happened to this thing?! Looks like someone might have had quite a serious accident while wearing it.
But the ground-down surface hides a youthful camera that's hardly been used and the $$$ was right.
I don't know why but it's the first time I've bought a camera that wasn't cosmetically perfect and I'm really pleased that after a load of technical checks the thing seems to work beautifully.
Fortunately when photographing theatre nobody can see your scratched up cameras, and I would rather be able to swap between two knackered bodies than swap lenses on one perfect looking one :)
