Beautiful heartfelt wedding in the midst of the welsh countryside…bringing modern romantic creative aesthetics and a rose garden in flowers this couple also knew how to party. Being welsh the boys could dance too! And hiring one of the best DJ’s ( who is not on insta or any social media), was gold. Here are one or two dancing photos…also if you don’t have professional lighting best thing to do is hire/buy a smoke machine. And a gather a collection of shades for guests to wear! It was perfect! SOUND ON (this is the male voice choir they had singing one of my favourite welsh songs).

A selection of frames from this beautiful wedding…too many moments really to choose from - directed moments and spontaneous ones, cool flash and B&W and colour film with smooth skin tones and bokeh backgrounds…my bride and groom aesthetic was ‘romance’ and leaning in to that! Think bows, pink, chandeliers, ribbon…with a backdrop of friendships that were so tight and true everyone lifted up this couple and this day and elevated the details to become one epic wedding - with laughter, tears, emotion, jokes, singing, dancing, good food and banter, ci**rs and cake, pizza and cocktails stories round the open fire and kids running around. It was truly a romantic fairytale day. Vendors:

How have I not posted more from this wedding featured in ? Rectifying now with a dedication to all the pink and romantic soft beauty that was this wedding and the details that were incorporated! As the bride owns it was always going to have flowers in abundance! I loved their witness table (scroll to see) the pink and blush with red pops and the way my bride (yes she did all her flowers) designed the table scape and made them circumflex? (Am I using the right rose name for it when the petals are folded outwards!?) I’ll post some more from this wedding (getting back into the season and the world of weddings again and so excited to do so)…this wedding was so stunning and emotional! Vendors:

Roses are red….beautifully designed by - here’s a thing…I didn’t have any flowers at my wedding (except from a bouquet for my and my sis - bought the flowers locally and then thought I would have time to make the bouquet on my wedding morning - I crazy - obvs had no time and my photographer stepped into the breach and did an amazing job). Anyway, i love flowers and would have absolutely had them - but I wanted loads and loads of flowers and I wanted them scented and would have had flower arches and wild meadow aisles and big designs on all the tables and also given all the ladies flowers to wear in their hair - jasmine, and had lavender scattered on the aisle and petals to throw and a cake table nestled in moss and ivy and roses everywhere…this however was not in the budget…and with only three months to plan a destination wedding (and obvs the photographer was a major thing for me), and food and music him, we cut it out entirely. I think if I were to do it again I’d go as natural as possible for flowers - roses and all the scented locally grown flowers with as much of the ceremony outside. The very first wedding I photographed they had a very meadow feeling wedding to it with cow parsley - which looks lovely on the day you pick it only. Anyway all this wittering is to say, there is something not just romantic but luxurious about flowers, something natural and yet extra, something special! Here’s to big flowers this wedding season and to colour - I believe pinks and reds, clashes of shades and nothing too matchy…less whites and greens and small one flower in a vase type, more table flowers, arches and floral aisles….let’s see what my couples create - can’t wait!

No avail or yes a veil? That is the question? Lovely English wedding in London where wore a long veil (cathedral), and with it over the front too - the blush (someone correct me if I’m using the wrong terminology)?! Dress and veil.

My blonde bombshell stepping out of the family home to go to the church up the road before dinner and dancing back in the garden! It’s really very simple when you have good taste, great people on board and guests in posh frocks and hats willing to party the night away.

If you get married at at Christmas time you also get their beautiful illumination light show in the grounds all to yourselves (for a little bit anyway but worth it). Had this shot in mind but had to work out the best angle and the best light. It worked I think…

Classic diamonds and emeralds in a vintage ring box with hand dyed linen backdrop and shot on film using and - lots of conscious direction and stying to create one photograph beautifully. Wonder who is getting a ring this Christmas - and would you wait to 2025 or have your wedding in 2024?!

Walking up the aisle…will you go first or will your bridesmaids? Also find out what restrictions there are for photographers…(I’m Anglican so I can say this but vicars are usually the most stringent and strict when it comes to coverage ‘stay at the back, out of sight’ is usually the message I’m given)…sigh…on the other hand priests, rabbis and vicars of his Kings Chapels - ie the royal chapels - there are 5 I think in London, are lovely and usually let you roam free to capture everything…anyway I digress, but if you want coverage in church and it’s restricted here’s some tips:
1. Hold hands immediately! Often you can sometimes be a fair distance from each other if not.
2. Look at each other, not the vicar. Photographers usually have to stay at the back so at least we get a side profile rather than the back of your heads.
3. Get your bridesmaid to make sure your veil is behind rather than in front of your shoulders - again it restricts any glimpse of your face.
4. Wherever possible look at your congregation.
