Man Like Stuart Patterson joining us at Acanteen in Chelmsford for our next Funky Dory Soul Brunch on Saturday 22nd June.
Stuart has been at the heart of London's club scene for several decades. Through DJing, club programming and promoting, record labels, fanzines or mix compilations he has taken his DJ career to every corner of the world.
Stuart Patterson is a dance music phenomenon who has a thirty-year pedigree in all spheres of the industry.
The growth and popularity of the music scene in the mid-nineties prompted Stuart to relocate to London which was fast becoming the worldwide epicenter of the business.
In 1999, the now pioneering music collaboration FAITH was born, bringing Terry Farley, Dave Jarvis and Stuart together hosting some of London's most popular parties of the past 24 years. Using Leo Zero's exceptional design skills the first Faith Fanzine was published and is now in it's third life and one of the only printed dance culture magazines still going (faith.london).
Stuartโs reputation spread internationally over the following years where he played in all corners of the world whilst appearing at all the UK's major venues and festivals like Glastonbury and Homelands plus regular sets at Notting Hill Carnival. His growing reputation saw him being named DJ of the month in Mixmag, The Face. I-D and DJ magazine. He is still seen as a main UK house music ambassador.
Whether hosting sold-out Faith parties, playing huge London clubs alongside legends like Masters at Work or David Morales and at top festivals like We Out Here and Defected Croatia/Malta. Promoting his own events in India and Spain or holding a number of international residencies, in 2023 Stuart continues to inspire, educate, and bring the party to the musically enlightened.

We are seeking enthusiastic individuals to promote Funky Dory Mini Fest 5.0 by distributing flyers at stations, high streets, and local businesses in the West Essex area, including Loughton, Buckhurst Hill, Woodford, and Epping. Also further afield in: Bishops Stortford, Hertford, Dunmow available shifts are:
โขโ โ Morning: 7am - 10am
โขโ โ Afternoon: 11am - 1pm
โขโ โ Evening: 4pm - 7pm
The ideal candidates should be friendly, outgoing, presentable, able to use their initiative, trustworthy, and reliable. The promotional campaign will run for two weeks, starting this Saturday, June 1st.

On the run up to our next Funky Dory Love Mini Fest 5.0 we will be sharing with you some of our favourite soul classics of all time. First up Steve Walsh - I Found Lovin Walsh will be best remembered for his live work in nightclubs. His 1987 version of the Fatback Band's "I Found Lovin'" was archetypal of the genre of 'South London Soul'.
