The Main Hall provides ample space for a full-scale runway, framed by towering columns and art deco detail.

The little details...🐝🏛️

Banking Hall is a treasure trove of history, filled with nods to its past as Lloyds Bank’s former headquarters. While the grand black horse emblem is unmistakable—proudly displayed in the stunning mural at the base of our staircase—did you know it wasn’t always the sole symbol of the bank?

Before the black horse took centre stage, Lloyds also used the beehive as a symbol of diligence and prosperity. Though lesser-known today, the beehive remains woven into the fabric of Banking Hall’s interiors. Have you spotted it?

Did you know that Banking Hall was once the busy headquarters of Lloyds Bank? Built in the 1930’s, it belonged to Lloyds up until 2002, and since then, it has been lovingly restored as an iconic event space in the heart of the city. It still retains many of the original, magnificent features like the stunning Lloyds mural found at the bottom of our grand staircase. History, grandeur and an abundance of character and charm, Banking Hall really has it all…
