In the ever-changing music industry, few figures have made as significant an impact as Kelly and Scott. With a deep rooted understanding of artist management and an unwavering commitment to their craft, they have steered the careers of some of the industry’s most iconic artists, most notably the legendary Tim McGraw.

We had the pleasure of working with EM.Co for the first time on McGraw's latest Standing Room Only tour and we were blown away by their creativity and collaborative approach. Catching up with them at their HQ in Nashville, we discuss growing up in the music biz, building a multi-award winning brand with Tim McGraw and "making s*** happen."

It was a pleasure to work with such a talented team on Es Devlin’s new multi-media work commissioned by BMW for Art Basel. We were responsible for the technical coordination of this mesmerising art piece, which surprises visitors each hour with a 7-minute dance work by renowned Paris-based choreographer L-E-V Sharon Eyal | G*i Behar in a box of rain and with music composed by contemporary composer duo Polyphonia.

With four separate works on show, Wonder Works’ Technical Director Dave Williams was on site to ensure the coordination of all technical elements worked perfectly in the venue, starting with detailed pre-production, load in, and then the opening.

PUSHING BOUNDARIES 💫 | To achieve the scale that Tim McGraw wanted within the parameters of an arena venue, we used an automation system to track the LED screens horizontally across the stage. This consists of a downstage screen which splits in two, and tracks up and off stage simultaneously to meet with a central up-stage screen, transforming seamlessly into one huge 32m wide panoramic screen that fills the arena. Tim McGraw kicked off his Standing Room Only tour on 14th March with a sell-out show at Jacksonville’s VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena. His first arena tour in 7 years, McGraw wanted a BIG scale production and Jacksonville certainly delivered! At its widest, this 256sqm automated panoramic LED screen only just squeezed into the arena and the result was pretty mesmerising. Great to work with such a talented team on this impressive tour 💥

Another one from Roger Waters’ This Is Not A Drill stadium tour ⚡️.

With video content being such a huge part of the arena tour, we knew that the South America shows would require a large LED screen canvas, suitably scaled for a stadium. We settled on four 10m x 10m LED screens that were strategically rigged with gaps between them to allow space for PA and lighting. The gap between the screens changed for each stadium, which meant that we had to do an overlay of the production for each of the 13 venues in order to detail the rigging and screen content.

Soaking up the sun in Valencia before we set off on our cycling adventure tomorrow!

It's easy to forget why we're here, but yesterday Backup - The Technical Entertainment Charity received a call for help from somebody working on an arena tour who'd had a breakdown and was worried about what the future might hold. Their whole world had fallen apart but they'd made a critical first step - a friend had encouraged them to call Backup.

Backup first provides listening support, letting people talk about their anxiety and exploring options as they realise that they won't be able to go back to work for some time. The charity also offers counselling, financial support, debt advice and mental health first aid training.

Ending the year with a very special project.

This year’s UAE Union Day Ceremony with Es Devlin & People weaved together tradition and technology to tell the story of the UAE's rich heritage and its vision of a sustainable future.

Featuring a 72m-diameter, 9m-high revolving theatre of 17 rooms, with the audience and orchestra situated in the centre, the show once again pushed the boundaries of traditional staging.

It was an honour to be invited back for a sixth consecutive year to provide technical direction, production management and CAD design services for this inspiring ceremony, which took place in Expo City’s Jubilee Park.
