Queen Elizabeth II 1926 - 2022

We extend our deepest condolences to the Royal Family on the passing of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II. On Monday 19th September 2022 our London office will be closed to pay our respects to Her Majesty and commemorate Her reign, while marking the final day of the period of national mourning.

We are hugely grateful for the service Her Majesty has given throughout her life in society and supporting charities and businesses both in the United Kingdom and throughout the Commonwealth.

Good News for a Friday - The remaining seven countries on the UK government's Covid travel red list will be removed from next Monday. Fully-vaccinated arrivals from Ecuador, the Dominican Republic, Colombia, Peru, Panama, Haiti and Venezuela will no longer have to quarantine in a hotel.

Effective November 8, 2021 at 12:01am EST (5:01am GMT), before boarding a flight to the US from a foreign country, all air passengers- 2 years or older – are required to present a negative COVID-19 viral test result, within a time period based on their vaccination status ), or present documentation of having recovered from COVID-19 in the last 90 days.

Aer Lingus has partnered with British Airways Holidays to enable UK customers to book a complete package holiday with the Irish flag carrier.

Aer Lingus’ new routes from Manchester Airport, include services to Barbados from October 20th, New York JFK from December 1st and Orlando from December 11th.

The US has announced that it will reopen its borders to fully vaccinated travellers from 8 November.

Under new rules announced by the White House, vaccinated people who have had a negative test in the 72 hours before travelling will be allowed to enter.

People who have received a jab from one of the vaccines approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) or that have an Emergency Use Listing from the World Health Organization (WHO) will qualify under the system.

Singapore has introduced a vaccinated travel lane (VTL) for travellers from the UK, effective from October 19th.

The decision means that British travellers who are fully vaccinated against Covid-19 will be able to enter Singapore with a vaccinated travel pass (VTP).

Applications for the pass will open today.

The scheme has previously only been open to Germany and Brunei, while South Korea, Canada, Denmark, France, Italy, Netherlands, Spain and the United States are also now being added.

British Airways are delighted to be welcoming back four of their A380s to their operation.

These A380s will initially operate to a number of short-haul destinations to allow for crew service familiarisation in November, shortly followed by operating to Miami and Los Angeles in the US, as well as Dubai in December.

AIR MALTA TO RESUME SERVICES TO LONDON GATWICK FROM DECEMBER 2021

Air Malta’s flights to Gatwick will start as from the 11th December and will initially be served with three weekly flights every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday.

Qantas has confirmed it will operate its flagship direct route from Australia to London via Darwin when international flights resume next month with the reopening of the border.

The Darwin hub arrangement will be in place in time for borders reopening from November 14th until at least April next year when London flights are scheduled to operate via Perth again.

Qantas will bring forward the restart of its international flights to November 14th.

The news comes in response to an announcement from the Australian federal government that the country will reopen its border from November.

The national carrier will operate three weekly return flights between Sydney and London and three weekly return flights between Sydney and Los Angeles with its Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners.

We have been advised that travellers should check on the Gov.uk website for further information on when their passport expires for travel to European countries.

The gov.uk website advises that "If you renewed your current passport before the previous one expired, extra months may have been added to its expiry date. Please note, any extra months on your passport over 10 years may not count towards the minimum period needed to travel to European countries."

BA are going to be serving a classic British Roast on flights in September 2021. The airline’s roast, that will be available in First and Club World, will provide customers flying across the globe a taste of a quintessentially British dish. British Airways will debut its traditional roast with 21-day aged British beef, served with roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding, seasonal vegetables, horseradish cream and gravy.

On flights to the Indian subcontinent, customers will be offered British roast chicken served with roast potatoes, seasonal vegetables, bread sauce and gravy.
