Who London Helping Londoners 50+ Make Friends or Find a Partner with our Introductions events.
(2)

Every second Sunday of the month we host our Introductions Event at the same venue in Central London from 5pm-7.30pm. Our Introductions Events give you the opportunity to meet lots of new people, make new friends or meet a partner as we bring people together in a properly hosted environment. Whilst our events are really modern, we believe in good old-fashioned hosting and so you'll receive more th

an just a warm welcome! Our hosts make all the difference ensuring everyone is included throughout the whole event. The events have a relaxed structure and we chat casually over drinks in our reserved Who London space. You'll have around 20 minutes to chat with some other Who Londoners before a few of you move together to another group. These events are designed specially for getting to know more Who Londoners in a short space of time, rather than only being able to speak with a few people. Most join as a Club Member for: up to 50% off their ticket, a free drink at every event, on-site member messaging & "Friend requests", member blog chat & personal activity updates, our monthly member newsletter of places to go out to and an optional welcome video chat.

Today 9,800 people from around 300 different Armed Forces and civilian associations will line up on Horse Guards Parade for the Royal British Legion organised march past the Cenotaph. This event takes place every year on Remembrance Sunday after the National Service of Remembrance to honour the fallen of the British Armed Forces involved in the two World Wars and all conflicts since.

One of the oldest marching veterans this year is 101-year-old WW2 D-Day Veteran Stanley Elliss who is marching for the first time, and the youngest is Luca-Beau, eight, who will be carrying a wreath on behalf of Scotty’s Little Soldiers and remembering her father.

As we come together in Remembrance for our Armed Forces this year, we remember the service and sacrifice of all those that have defended our freedoms and protected our way of life and we pay tribute to Her late Majesty The Queen, the Royal British Legion’s Patron of 70 years and longest serving Commander-in-Chief of the British military.

So true.....

My grandmother once gave me a tip:

In difficult times, move forward in small steps.
Do what you have to do, but little by little.
Don’t think about the future
or what may happen tomorrow.

Wash the dishes.
Remove the dust.
Write a letter.
Make a soup.

You see?

Advance step by step.
Take a step and stop.
Rest a little.
Praise yourself.
Take another step.
And then another.

You won’t notice, but your steps will grow more and more.
And the time will come when you can think about the future without crying.
