I haven’t shared much of my ikebana journey here with you all as it’s been quite personal but I intend to open up more this year.

Ikebana is the ancient Japanese art of arranging flowers. I’ve been studying with the Sogetsu school .sogetsu for a number of years now. I love the principles of simplicity and balance which are formed in each arrangement and I enjoy the freedom to create completely individual art from nature with every practice.

The practise is slow and considered, it allows you to look into nature more deeply to challenge your creativity. There is always somewhere you can go with it and I am grateful for the simply enjoyment it brings to my life ✨

Having a restful one this weekend, contemplating what life will look like as we move out of lockdown. Taking things slow and enjoying the simple things.

Taking the time to wonder what might grow for Cherry Tree Way this year. It was this time last year our posy delivery was born. Spring brings the energy to begin something new. Ideas turning into reality, as the shoots bud and burst 🌷

Hey lovely people, I’ve decide to follow along with this year, so I can share more about my business with you all 🤍

Can’t promise it will be regular or in the right order, because as those of you who know me will be aware, I can’t stick to my own schedule even if I think it’s a wonderful idea ☺️

Today I wanted to share a little bit about Cherry Tree Way the brand. I built it over 4 years ago, Cherry Tree is a little place near where I was born in Lancashire, not at all glamorous but it has a pretty name and has a strong connection to my roots and brings an element of nostalgia to the brand. It was very important to me that the brand connected all the things I love. Home, happy memories in nature, seasonal living, mindfulness.. to name few.

The cherry tree in Japan is celebrated as a symbol of fleeting beauty, which I thought was very apt for a floristry business.

The wonderful ladies at worked on the logo and brand design elements for me in the early days, creating the Japanese script style logo CTW, which I adore. They really did a wonderful job of pulling together my vision and I couldn’t recommend them enough.

I put lot of thought into the brand and how it was created to make sure I didn’t lose sight of it over time, I’m glad I did because I still feel very much connected to it today 🌸

I hope you like it too 🤍

Our story

Cherry Tree Way is a floral design studio, founded by Nikki Rodgers, whose background in styling and love for the natural world led her to train in floral design and the Japanese art of ikebana. Through the study of ikebana she found a deeper appreciation for the seasons, which inspired the vision for the studio.

Nature is a continuous source of inspiration to us, each season brings with it a new inspiration which we celebrate at our workshops and in our arrangements. We give consideration to how each stem exists in its natural environment, which in turn dictates our creative process.

We value a life lived in close connection to nature and the positive effect this can have on our physical and mental wellbeing.
