We set foot in Shrewsbury Prison just as the last light of day vanished behind the hills.

The old walls loomed, slick with rain, and the iron gates groaned as we pushed them open.

We’ve been on plenty of ghost hunts before, but there was something about this place, something that made the hair on our necks stand up before we even stepped inside.

Our team split up, flashlights piercing the shadows of the abandoned wings. C Wing, the oldest part of the prison, was rumored to hold the most restless spirits.

As we approached, the temperature dropped, the kind of cold that seeps into your bones.

Then we heard it… a faint, dragging shuffle.

“Probably the old hinges,” one of the team whispered. But the sound came again, heavier this time, like someone chained and limping along the corridor.

We turned the camera to one of the cells, the one where a prisoner had mysteriously vanished decades ago. That’s when the whispers began!

The voice wasn’t recorded, wasn’t human, and yet it felt close enough to brush against one of the teams ear.

And then the EMF detector spiked violently! not at one point, but all around the cell. Something was inside the walls.

We realized, in that moment, that Shrewsbury Prison doesn’t just hold the past. It holds unfinished business.

The countdown to Halloween 🎃 is well underway… we have a jam packed Spooky Sunday, starting with an appearance at Healey Dell Heritage Centre & Tea Rooms where we are telling real life ghost stories, showcasing our investigation findings from the tearooms, demonstrating equipment and we have some of our haunted dolls with us.
