Next year I’m increasing the dahlia stock…yet again!! Mainly because it seems you can never have enough of these beauties. I think I say the same about roses too - yes I do have a problem ha!

So, the planning is starting for Autumn 2025. I’ve a few bookings in already but if you are looking to have an event in September next year drop me an email and I’ll tell you all about my exciting dahlia plans!

The youngest teenager finally got round to visiting me in my new garden…it’s a running joke in the family that it’s only been 16months since I’ve been working on it!

He enjoyed capturing parts of the garden on his phone - so many ladybugs & the occasional one of me!

He also clocked the raspberries are not far away from fruiting so I have a feeling he may be back again soon!

Icelandic poppies!! I’ve had a love hate relationship with them, mainly down to germination!! However, I have now successfully saved seed and got these babies through to tiny germinated plants.

As I mentioned before I like to sow little and often, so many things can still go wrong (damping off, slugs to name a couple!) so having a constant succession of plants is really handy. So, the second batch has been sown so fingers crossed for more germination soon.

The transition from summer to autumn is so real in the garden and the reason I started off my hardy annuals this week.

The mornings are cold, the days are warm and the light is low….it’s a beautiful time of year.

Don’t panic!!!

I will be trying to save seed from that incredible cosmos…see previous post for her beauty! Thank you to everyone who commented - who knew one single flower would get us all chatting so much…I loved it!

So to carry on our thoughts of seed sowing and beautiful flowers, anyone else noticing how golden the light is starting to go and I’ve suddenly felt the need for these tones again.

Sometimes when you grow flowers you grow ‘the one’. The one you will spend all season smiling at, the one that reminds you you are good at growing flowers, the one that you may well break from tradition and stake as you can’t bear to loose it & the one that maybe, just maybe, you will find the strength to dig deep and share!

Thank you beautiful cosmos you are quite perfect and worth the huge cosmos trial that I undertook 🤣

August - so many flowers!

Changeable weather and the season seems to be shifting in Cornwall with the first haul of blackberries and the crabapples bending the branches!

It may be August but the September bouquets are not far away & it’s set to be my busiest month of the year!

I’m focusing a lot of time on getting the flowers ready. The tunnel is off the chart with Zinnas, dahlias, roses and snaps. Outside crops are looking really healthy too and well watered from our rather hectic summer!

Also, exciting news for my 2026 clients - I’ve a whole new section I’m turning over to annuals and bi-annuals and there is even a little tunnel on the plot! Super exciting….heaps more work but this week I’ll be planting out 260 foxgloves for you lovely spring brides!

Get in touch if you are interested in my flowers at your event next year x

Off on a little holiday trip with the family. No doubt you won’t keep me quiet all week but for now I’m off to have a G&T most the bags are packed. Instructions left on anything and everything for those lovely folks that are looking after stuff.

Ha I really will be out out and abroad 🤣

Oh man this weather - I got back in wet suit boots today for my swim, which whilst fun with the girls, lacked sun!!

Tomorrow seems to look better again but it’s so damn changeable!

Not sure why these pictures go with my words but the dahlias are coming and I really love cranberry tones at the moment and thought I should tell you all….

I’ve just picked the last Clare de Lune peony of the season today. Their season is short but they are such a beautiful flower. I managed to get the flowers all picked before this awful weather front moved in.

Is it wrong to want to light the fire….in June???

Sharing these BTS of a beautiful shoot where the hero was Clare de Lune with - with looking forward to bringing more of my flowers this season to Tredudwell.

My flowers are grown under 10 miles from their venue and couples have the benefit of being surrounded by rolling countryside plus on the doorstep of cliff top vistas for epic photo opportunities!

Part 2 of Sarah & Jack’s gorgeous wedding.

Using vintage marmalade jars and vintage bottles I created frothy May arrangements down long feasting tables.

Above the top table a foliage hoop dangled at just the right height to add some drama to the room.

Part 1:

Remember that hot May weekend a few weeks ago?

Well, Sarah & Jack timed it so well for their wedding. What a dream this was to create these installations with all those May beauties: Irises, peonies, apple blossom, cow parsley, ranunculus and so so much more!

The photos from the day made me grin from ear to ear when they dropped into my inbox…. .studio you superstar ✨

I’ve loaded lots onto the portfolio section of my website so go put the kettle on and take a look (link will be in stories).

Huge thanks to Sarah & Jack for letting me share these with you all xx

This is why I grow roses!
The tunnel is producing armfuls of gorgeous roses at the moment. This one is champagne moment, not a heavy scent but a real work horse. Teamed with Emily Bronte & Everlyn the scent and look is divine.

It has been an incredible bank holiday of weddings & both my couples were wonderful to work with making my job very straightforward.

I’ll share K’s bouquet tomorrow as she only got married a few hours ago!

Hi 👋 - lovely .studio snapped me setting up the first wedding of 2024 last weekend and I thought I’d share as most my profile pics are admittedly when I was younger 🤣

I’ve got a busy few weeks coming up now with around the corner - I’m heading up to London on Sunday with for Press Day (Monday) our tickets are part of some work we are doing with .co.uk and our new Stuart & Alexander podcast (which you can listen to if you click the link in my bio!). We will be doing a podcast recording before we arrive and I can’t wait to share more of what the show was like, with you, when I’m back!

Then it’s into a busy weekend of weddings

Roll on crazy season and do try and keep up! 👩🏻‍🌾 x
