Janet is happy to arrange workshops - you can find out more by looking at her page .

CALL OUT FOR THE LOAN OF A VIOLIN

We are looking for the use of a violin for 3 weeks so that Eva, one of our Taiwanese students can create a piece for our Family Community Day in August. Eva's violin rendition will explore Taiwanese Folklore. As Eva has been travelling Europe, it wasn't possible to bring her own violin with her.

Here is Eva performing in Taiwan.

We would be so grateful if someone could someone help us with this request.

Please message our Arts Coordinator Jacqui at [email protected]

A very warm welcome to our new group of art interns from National Cheng Kung University, Taiwan who will be working with us for the next 5 weeks. The beautiful banner which they have brought incorporates a design based on a dragonfly, a symbol of harmony, prosperity and good fortune.

Thank you to Bhavna at Loughborough University who has generously arranged for us to work in the Incubator spaces at the Careers and Enterprise Hub in the Market Place. Today, we began our planning of the Family Community Day which is to take place on August 3rd at Fearon Hall. More details to follow.

Mondays the last date for tickets for the Mela fund raising meal.

Mela Fundraising Pizza Bonanza

The Loughborough Mela organising group, has pleasure in inviting you to a Pizza Bonanza to raise funds to help meet the cost of bringing high quality performers to the 2024 Mela.
*****************
This will be held at Fearon Hall on Thursday 11th July. Those attending are requested to arrive between 6.15pm and 6.30pm, with the Pizzas due to arrive shortly after.
