Loughton Folk Club had planned to open again on the 13th January. Unfortunately due to a cancellation we will not be open on that date.
We hope to open again on 20th or 27th January 2022.

The club has booked some great guests for 2022. Please keep checking Facebook for further details.

Loughton Folk Club is now closed for the Christmas period. We wish you all a Merry Christmas and a happy and peaceful 2022. We have planned to return on the 13th January 2002, but with the current covid situation, that date is in some doubt. We will keep you updated with any developments.

Rob was travelling to the gig from central London whereas I was travelling for St Albans. Given driving at peak time on the M25 is never a pleasure...

It was a lovely evening at Loughton Folk Club last night. There was a great variety of music and poetry from club regulars to entertain a full house. We had Irish traditional song. We had South American charango music. We had folk classics, the Beatles and Neil Young. We had saucy poetry and political poetry and we had a couple of wonderful pieces from the MC himself, Steve O’Donoghue. The banter was excellent all night and the audience certainly helped us out with their expert chorus singing.

Many thanks to organisers Gary, Steve and Jennifer and to Loughton Folk Club members in general for giving us such a lovely welcome last night and we wish the club all the very best for the future.

Sally Ironmonger and Brian Carter put on a brilliant show. Firmly rooted in the folk tradition but including
shades of blues and other styles. Hailing from Kent, Sally and Brian have been performing as a duo for nearly 20 years. They mainly write their own material, full of humor and social commentary, they also include a few choice covers in their set. Sally and Brian are making a very welcome return to Loughton. So give yourself an Easter treat and come along for a great evening of entertainment.

We are as happy as Larry to be returning to Loughton Folk Club this very Thursday - a lovely club run by some rather nice people. What's more, we will be supporting the absolutely smashtastic Hunter Muskett who will be showing us all how it should be done. Stop being so silly and come along.
