This ban has been rumbling along for a while and i’d love to hope it will change how we consider buying items for our parties/buffets/family gatherings.
I also always wonder why someone would want a soggy plate for their guests when you can have ours looking so lovely! 😘😘

In England, single-use items such as plastic cutlery, plates and trays are to be banned in a bid to reduce pollution, the government has confirmed.
About 1.1bn single-use plates and 4.25bn pieces of such cutlery, only 10% of which are recycled after being used.
Now the environment secretary, Thérèse Coffey, is set to ban a suite of single-use plastic items. Although some have criticised the slow pace of progress and the limited scope of such a ban.
Megan Randles, political campaigner for , welcomed the move but warned: “This is like reaching for a mop instead of turning off the tap."
