Christmas in particular has always been an excuse to forage for exciting foliage in and around her family farm to create wreaths, swags and decorations for friends and family. This passion has grown over the years with increasing projects such as weddings, christenings and parties all being dressed by Claire’s modern country style. Recent training with an internationally renown floral designer has

enthused Claire to promote her skills on a national basis. These are exciting times, with a move to beautiful new period premises, Fig and Fern has the opportunity to develop the brand by creating a new flower school with a purpose built studio and cutting garden planned for 2015/2016 .

Zinnias for E&D’s wedding in the glorious walled garden The Wootton Hall Estate this weekend. The rain meant the ceremony had to be in the sperry tent which looked beautiful, after we were able to give the Bride & Groom a fabulous photo backdrop area in the garden.

Today I had the pleasure of creating a favourite late May scheme at the beautiful St James church Louth for P&.C. A complete riot of personal favourites with echos of Italy - foxgloves, peonys, delphiniums, honeysuckle, garden roses, I could go on. My team were incredible and I truly hope the family have the most wonderful day.

The end of tulip season… always bitter sweet as you wait all year for that single flower, no repeats with a tulip and for true aficionados you discard after flowering to stay true. I just pop them in the garden! Now bring on rose season. 💞🌿💞

Today for Ben and Nina The Wootton Hall Estate we started the ceremony build outside to move inside due to thunderstorms but the white ball room was the perfect romantic backdrop.
