I WALKED

I walked with you today, I took the longer way.
I made some time to tell you all the things I didn’t say.
I spoke to you so softly and so often tears just flowed.
I let you know my secrets, the stories you were owed.

I gave you all my heart, as we walked the pretty way.
I cared not for my timings or the schedule of my day.
Instead I lingered back, picking flowers for my hair.
I showed you our old tree but this time I stopped and stared.

I walked with you today, I took the wilder path.
I reminded you of all the times your antics made me laugh.
I stopped to smell the roses, as I should have done before.
I seized that special moment and I wished and wished for more.

I walked with you today love and with all my aching heart.
I wish that I had not left it too late in life to start…
To start taking the long route, saying things I never say.
I’m sorry that it took me far too long to walk this way.

WHAT A WEEKEND!😍

It was my great honour to be chosen to take the wedding ceremony for this wonderful duo on Saturday! We had lovely weather for the occasion and all around a beautiful ceremony.

From the very first meeting, it has been a complete privilege to work with these two. They made my job easy and allowed me to really enjoy being a part of the build-up to their very special day.

From the bottom of my heart, a huge thank you for choosing me to be your wedding celebrant! I wish you both many, many years of happiness together!❤️

Here's a little secret I am delighted to share with you all. Becky at Eventopia has set up The Wedding Hub - a monthly event which can be your one stop shop for all things weddings. It is a privilege to say that this is something I am lucky enough to be involved with.

Venue visit

Sorry, it's been quiet here recently. The summer is truly a busy time. But yesterday, I got to spend part of my day in the glorious sunshine on a venue visit ahead of an upcoming wedding I have taking place. I truly like to make sure I can deliver the best for my couples and like to be sure that I am as fully prepared for the day as possible. One of the "behind the scenes" things I like to do to help with this is visit the venue myself ahead of the day. This helps to prepare me and enables me to be fully present for you on the big day.

Yesterday was stunning weather in a beautiful location for what will be a wonderful wedding!

An afternoon at Fritton Lake final plans for a beautiful Wedding Ceremony for L&B next weekend

UPDATE: We are absolutely blown away by the kindness and offers of support our wonderful local community has shown to us at St Faiths. Our premises is still not secure but our lovely friends at Norfolk Bluebell Wood Burial Park and Martin Dickinson tree surgeon have offered to lend us tools and machinery which we can pick up and return each day for security. We will continue to work as hard as we can to keep our gardens lovely for our families. Once again thank you to all who shared this post and helped us back on our feet. If anyone hears anything which may help the police investigation, please contact Aylsham Police Station. ❤️❤️❤️❤️We are sad to report that in the early hours of Saturday morning our Grounds Workshop was broken into. The thieves stole every piece of machinery and power tool that we have. This is both an appeal to anyone who may have seen anything to let us know and also an apology to our lovely families that it will take time to secure the premises and get back to our normal level of service in the Gardens. Also please, please let us know if you are offered any gardening equipment at a knock down price so that we can alert the police. We are so disappointed that anyone could stoop so low as to steal from a cemetery. Please bear with us while we try to get back to normal. We would be grateful for as many shares of this post as possible 💔

In aid of our charity of the year we are collecting unwanted clothing which will sent away and the money raised will be donated to The East Anglian Air Ambulance. It is a vital charity that gets no government funding, but a charity which we need and call upon at a time of medical need. You can drop any unwanted clothing to our office and we will send it off to be recycled and re-used

Celebrant vs. Registrar

When it comes to selecting the right suppliers for your wedding day, there comes a point where you start asking if you want to book a celebrant. Here, I have highlighted some of the key differences between having a celebrant lead ceremony or a registrar;

Meeting: Did you know you won't meet your registrar until the day of your wedding. This is the one and only time you'll meet them. As your celebrant, I will meet with you several times in the months prior to your special day, we'll get to know each other really well, helping you to feel more relaxed on the day!

Vows: Something to think about if you were hoping to write your own vows is the fact that this isn't possible with a registrar. They have a set of vows that you can choose from. This means that if you're looking for something extremely unique to you, then you're best choosing a celebrant. And don't worry,I'm on hand throughout to help you get your vows written exactly as you want them!

Ceremony: OK, so on this once in a life time event you want it to be as special as possible, I'm sure. When you choose me as your celebrant, I will work to make your ceremony totally bespoke to you. This means no one will ever have a ceremony like yours. This is something that a registrar simply isn't allowed to do. They have a set script they follow, which means it will be used at multiple weddings.

Time & exclusivity: You might not know that a registrar can only allow upto 10 - 15 minutes per ceremony. This is because they have several ceremonies to get through in one day. For me, you are my one and only priority. The only ceremony I'll have to conduct on your chosen date is yours! My day is all about YOU!

Location: One of the biggest decisions you'll make about your wedding day is where you want it to take place. With a registrar, you have a limited number of venues to choose from, this is because they can only take place at a licenced venue. I am not tied to any location constraints, meaning I can go wherever you want me. As long as we get all your legal paperwork done in the correct place, then your only limit is your imagination. But don't panic, I'm here to guide you through it all!

The Suffolk Small Business Awards

At the start of the year, you may remember I announced how lucky I was to be nominated for the Suffolk Small Business Awards. Later, I was humbled to announce I was one of the finalists, and tonight, I will get to find out the results. With my beautiful wife alongside me, I am very much looking forward to this evening, win or not.

Dying Matters Week 2024

Did you know this week is Dying Matters Week. An entire week where we put the focus on talking about death and grieving and all things associated with this period of time in our lives.

At some stage, we will all have been affected by the loss of a loved one and the many, many emotions that can provoke. It is of the utmost importance that we talk these things through and help each other navigate this time in our lives.

I had the privilege and honour to officiate the Funeral today of a local lady who had served her community as a local Councillor. It was lovely to see the Chapel full of family friends and representatives of local Government and organisations that she served.
