WRISTBANDS & CHILD SAFETY at The Big Play

Just a little note in advance of tomorrow’s event!

Every child will be given a bright blue wristband on arrival, and we’ll ask parents/carers to write their mobile number on the child’s wrist.

If your child becomes separated from you at any time
⭐️ Please tell your child to Freeze and not move - if they stay put that’s often easier to find them!
⭐️ Tell your child to look around them for you but also if they can’t find you, look out for a grown up with a bright blue hi-vis jacket on - there will be a few of us around the venue all day.
⭐️ All our exhibitors and stall holders are DBS checked, if they find a lost child, they’ll call the number written on the child’s wristband in the first instance, and if they can’t get hold of you they’ll bring the child to the main entrance and our lost child point, where a member of staff will be all day. We’ll look after them until you return.

‼️ don’t panic! Our venue is all indoors and predominately on ground level - and once everyone is in, all the doors are exit only with high push buttons to exit (away from little hands).

🚪 once all visitors are in the building we’ll close the external doors - If you’re running late don’t worry (!) we will only allow ticket holders to enter the building and will approach/question anyone not part of a family group.

⛑️ We have several first aiders on site all day to assist, if required

We know it can be stressful at big events with little children but we will do everything we can to keep you all safe, and have fun! X

With just 2 days (and one night!) (yikes!) to go until our first ever The Big Play event… Kate and I want to say a huge thank you to everyone for their support, ticket buying, sharing our content, everything!

We’re (almost!) ready, the risk assessments are written and the labels are printed… and i know your little ones are going to have the best time! We’ve really enjoyed planning it all for you, we’ll see you Saturday!

There’s still time to book tickets, we have about 20 spaces available on the morning session and 35 on the afternoon, so if you’re thinking about coming, book now!

We’ve unfortunately had a cancellation this week but it does mean there is a space available for a small business who would like to join us at this fantastic event.

After going in to hibernate last year as Kate (small tortoise) William (large tortoise) Kate has woke up as William and William as Kate, it can be quite difficult to s*x tortoises until a certain size/age and I’m not certain on the age of these two, (my excuse for getting it wrong 🤣) but the larger one always carried the tail tucked up to the side but as you will see in the video The small one is definitely William practising, which he needs plenty of as he has the wrong end but 10/10 for effort William. (No breeding/incubation of eggs will take place)

Saturday evening was spent at the 1st, 2nd & 3rd Beccles Rainbow sleepover, was another lovely session.

This was last Sunday just before we went to Emily's Magical Musical Adventure birthday, I was thinking I may have to take the chair with me as time was getting on, luckily I managed to untie her from the chair, she loved the chair and all the gaps to slither through.
