Absolutely blown away after a phone call from Geoff Noble at Burton Folk Club offering to make a generous donation to us after the cancellation of the concert this week.
Amazing generosity and solidarity from one folk club to another. Fair brought a tear to my eye!
We reassured Geoff that our usual folk club attendance is sustainable, but so grateful for the support and encouragement.
So you'd better pop along to our December folk club, or I'm sending Geoff round!

Following the regrettable, but unavoidable, decision to cancel our concert in November tonight, there will still be a December Brimfield Folk Club.
Please do come along and support the volunteer performers that generusly offer their time and skill to support the club.
Please note that Roger Pugh is recovering from a finger injury that may prevent his appearance, although we wish him a speedy recovery and remain hopeful that he will be able to play.

LIVE MUSIC IN BROMYARD THIS FRIDAY | Folk in the Foyer: Grey Wolf 🎸

Grey Wolf is an acoustic Americana/old-time folk band from the Welsh Marches playing traditional instruments such as banjo, fiddle, guitar, dulcimer, mandolin and double bass alongside fine vocal and harmony singing.

The band has headlined several of the prestigious UK's Old Time American Music and Dance Festivals; has appeared on radio, at folk clubs, festivals, and music and literary venues throughout the UK.

Unfortunately we have taken the regrettable decision to cancel the concert due this Saturday as a result of insufficient ticket sales. Tickets will be automatically refunded through Ticketsource.
We would like to apologise to the performers and the few who did buy advance tickets for failing to provide the audience they deserve. We thank them for their patience and support.
This will have cost the club over £200 that will inevitably negatively impact on the finances and future of the club.
We are as disappointed, as I am sure you are, that we will not get to enjoy these two wonderful performers.

Brimfield Folk Club is recruiting!
Unfortunately our regular organiser and compere, Nick Comley, is unable to continue due to progressive physical health issues.
We need to find someone who is as passionate and enthusiastic to take over the running of the club.
Our monthly club continues to be very successful and is financially sound, attracting a regular audience of over 40 folk fans.
If you have a passion for folk and acoustic music and can help with co-ordinating performers, promoting, setting up and taking down the equipment please do send us a message.
We have until March 2025 to recruit a new organiser, please like and share this post with anyone you know that may be interested. Thank you so much.

Our hard working volunteer, Dave, is taking a well deserved holiday in October, but that means we are in need of volunteers to help set up the hall.
If you can spare an hour from 5pm onwards to put the chairs and tables out and help take down after 10pm, please let us know? Otherwise we'll be a standing room only folk club!
