TONIGHT! 7.30pm. Do come - St Mary's is a lovely church and the seats are comfortable. Doors open from 7pm.
Our next concert is on Monday 5th August in our usual venue of beautiful St Mary's Church in Luton. It starts at 7.30pm with the doors open from 7pm. It will follow a workshop held earlier in the day in which participants will explore in a practical way the connection between music and painting or drawing. At 7.30 pm there will be an interview with artist Dr. Elizabeth Haines and composer Edward Picton-Turbervill. After a short break the second half will consist of music performed by Lyla Levy-Jordan (mezzo-soprano), Edward Picton-Turbervill (piano) and Makoto James (organ). The programme will feature a range of pieces by such composers as J.S. Bach, Tallis, Ligeti, Messiaen, Ravel, Kurt Weill, Picton-Turbervill and Madeleine Dring. NB You do NOT need to have attended the afternoon workshop in order to enjoy the evening event. http://www.lutonmusic.org.uk/events/tbc/
