It’s the final night of Independent Venue Week 2025 so we wanted to take this opportunity to say thank you. You have come out in your numbers this week and supported the artists and us to levels we didn’t expect. You’ve shown that by us continuing to transition into a music venue, we’d be doing the right thing for you.

A big thank you to Castlefest, Vandalism Begins At Home, and Baroness Music for getting stuck in and hosting 2 of our 5 nights of music this week. We’re lucky to have you here showcasing some outstanding talent.

Over the last 5 nights you’ve shown us Luton is ready for more artists to start touring through our town, and we’re going to do everything to give you that. Metal and alternative music is what built our foundations, we have no intentions to remove that from the heart of what we do, but we will continue to expand our programming across genres as we move into a fully functioning venue. We feel extremely lucky to have your support with this and look forward to taking on the task of working alongside the likes of The Bear Club and the Hat Factory to make Luton a touring location once again.

We’ve got one last night in us, have you? Join us tonight for the final night of IVW as we bring home 2 local acts as well as Sunday Club, who are no strangers to The Castle. We’re ready for a huge night to celebrate live music, Luton, and all of you.

Night 5 of Independent Venue Week! It's a Friday, it's pay day, and we're ready for the weekend...

OBEYER make their debut appearance at The Castle for a headline show which you're not going to want to miss. After releasing their debut album with raving reviews from the likes of Kerrang and Guitar World, we're stoked to have them play 💥

Reckoner and The Great Nothing take on support duties to make this night even bigger. Doors are at 8pm, final tickets available on the door, and we'll have DJs on from 11pm. This is going to be fun!

Unfortunately, due to illness, Low Girl have cancelled their IVW shows for the week (get well soon Sarah!) Fear not, as Framatics and The Looted Youth will continue on with a local showcase. This will be a 'Pay What You Can' on the door - come down and support some new artists during this amazing week.

Whether you're spending IVW here with us or in one of the many other venues taking part in the campaign, we hope you have a great week! ⚡

Hiya! Independent Venue Week begins tomorrow, it kinda feels like Christmas Eve as a child right now. We just wanted to put out a post to say thank you for the support so far in the build up to this!

This week is a celebration of the UK’s grassroots music venues and that in itself feels special for us, especially during a time when every venue is struggling and bracing themselves for an extremely difficult year. We see it regularly when it comes to venues closing down or being faced with closure, it’s happened on our doorstep and everywhere else.

So, though this may be a celebration of us, we’re doing this for you. For those kids who may see a band performing on our stage and then pick up a guitar at home, for those who use live music as a form of escapism, for those aspiring musicians who may be the next headliner at Glastonbury, for Luton Town! Whatever your reason may be, we’re doing this for you.

You can of course play your part in supporting us by continuing to buy tickets in advance on Gigantic - this means our ticketing partner very kindly donates 50% of the booking fees for each show to us, as a way of supporting grassroots venues during the tough times.

But please, if you can afford to, support the artists stopping off at The Castle. Buy some merch, tag them in videos on your socials, rave about how good they are!! Support local, and independent, food businesses surrounding us before you come to the show. However you can, let’s continue to use this week to build each other up.

Again, thank you so much for your support in the lead up to IVW25. This next week is for you, Luton. Let’s have a party.
