We are so very sad to hear of the passing of David Pownall this week. David ran the tearoom at Stanford Hall for many years with his beloved wife Glynis Pownall Many of you will remember his ready smile and humour, his generous spirit and the delicious breakfasts and welcome from them both throughout the years..... He was someone who extended love and warmth to many and we will think of him with much gratitude, appreciation and affection. Sending Glynis Pownall Laura and Darren much love at this tender time...

New for 2020 we've AeroSPARX joining the lineup. Subject to CAA approval and weather. They will be performing an amazing aerobatic display of gliders and fireworks.

Thank you to everyone who entered our competition to win tickets to see the Halloween Fireworks at Stanford Hall. Sadly, the event has been cancelled, here's a statement from MLE Pyrotechnics Limited:

"We have made the unfortunate decision to cancel the Halloween Firework event at Stanford Hall on Fri 25th October due to poor weather creating water logged ground conditions.

We are very sorry for the inconvenience, the decision has been made alongside the venues and we thank you for your support in understanding that the safety of the event must come first. We will be refunding you automatically if you bought tickets – please allow up to 10 working days.

Please join us in 2020."
