So it’s finally finished
There is nothing unusual about this coat to look at but for my client Jenny, it has been an epic challenge. She measures a dress size 16 across her back but only a size 8 to 10 everywhere else, so really petite. Consequently ever coat she tried on was either too tight across her back but looked ok from the front or visa- versa
The brief was quite specific, Jenny wanted a wool coat that was really warm ( so we lined it with ) showerproof, smart but comfortable to pop on to go shopping
I think I hit the brief ! We even made a cap from the remaining fabrics

Just made this today! A baker boy cap made with some of the harris tweed left from the coat I have been making for a client x (waiting for the button for the centre !) I will update on the coat when it’s finished x promise x So we do caps now ! they can be made in any fabric of your choice price - £45 with a pure silk satin lining. I think it could work well for a warm neutral wedding theme teamed with rich creams, nudes, I little bit of metallic in rose golds and coppers. What do you think?

Beautiful start to today x walking the dogs in the woods and came across the Boar 🐗 I’ve seen her and her youngsters 3 days running! She’s very stubborn and won’t get off the path, so we went into the thicket to go around her the saw 2 fallow deer 🦌 and back through the gate home and the sheep are on the green x I do love the Forest of Dean 🌳 now off to work to make beautiful things 🧵👗
