Today’s charter guests have had a great day out on the Solent, celebrating not one…but two 65th birthdays!

Aline, Phil, Colin, Lisa, Wendy and Paul are six friends who, have known each other for over 30 years and love going on adventures together. So who better to pair them with than our own intrepid explorers, Fergus and Jenevora, who have just returned this week to assist us as Skipper and Crew, after their own 9 month expedition!

Happy Birthday Aline and Phil - we hope you have many more adventures to come 🥂

A little later than expected, but summer has definitely arrived! And the sun certainly shone on the Pink Elephant Data Centre Regatta last week with nine teams competing for the annual cup. Lots of fun was had by all but most importantly, even more money was raised for EMCTrust

After a day on the water, yesterday’s guests were treated to an overnight stay at the award winning Chewton Glen Hotel and Spa before enjoying a four course tasting menu with wine pairing in the private wine room. Sailing Season is underway and it has been a great couple of days on the water, especially for our corporate Regatta clients on Friday, who enjoyed some competitive racing along with a rooftop BBQ lunch at the Island Sailing Club in Cowes.

And that concludes our maintenance season - last yacht complete and back in the water tomorrow. Let the sailing season commence! If you haven’t made plans this weekend, we have a couple of yachts still available - we heard a rumour the sun is meant to be making an appearance ☀️!

April signals the start of our outdoor event season, both on water and land! Last week saw us hosting a team of 40 from around the world who got to spend the morning undertaking a range of country pursuit activities including laser clay, archery, falconry and sheep herding with award-winning sheep dog Helen and her trainee Megan (as seen on Alan Titchmarsh’s Love Your Weekend!). After lunch it was time to channel Tom Cruise and put the group’s mixology skills to the test with a cocktail making challenge which always provides lots of laughs (although perhaps not for our resident bartenders Tosh and Billy who had to taste and judge the concoctions 🙈)!

What an achievement - over 146,000 lives saved at sea! Congratulations to the RNLI today for their 200th anniversary and thank you to all your staff and volunteers for making such an incredible difference to the UK's coastlines - especially the team at our local RNLI Lymington Lifeboat station

Happy Leap Day 🐸 although it’s a day more traditionally associated with ❤️ than frogs! Did you decide to propose today, or were you proposed to? Congratulations to all those happy couples who got engaged today 💍 if you need inspiration for your hen or stag do, take a look at our sailing days on the Solent. Spend the day aboard one of our beautiful yachts where you can opt to drop anchor in a sheltered bay and have a picnic onboard followed by a swim, as our very own Claire did last summer, or pop ashore for lunch on the Isle of Wight at one of the fabulous eateries such as the George Hotel, Yarmouth or The Hut Colewell Bay. If you’re lucky you may even spot a 🐬 or two! DM us for more details

The 2024 race will start an hour after sunrise at 06:00, so competitors will enjoy a spectacular first leg down to The Needles, together with a welcome early finish back in Cowes.

Entries are flooding in, enter today and be part of the most spectacular yacht race in the UK on Sat 15 June.
