Today we met with Jess from Jessie's Creations, the winner of our recent design competition! The design will be laser cut into the outside gate by the entrance to our brand-new building, The Windmill Performance & Education Centre, which is set to open this April.

Despite huddling over an iPad this morning to make final tweaks, we'll be revealing the final design once it's installed over the coming weeks. In the meantime, keep an eye on our socials!

ON SALE NOW.

Michigan. Present day. Jimmy Vandenburg, ex-Ford factory car worker, works alone in his garage servicing the classic American cars of his youth. He is the man ‘born down in a dead man’s town’, the antihero of the Bruce Springsteen anthem, trying to survive in the economic wasteland of the rust belt.

A decorated Vietnam war veteran, Jimmy felt his service for his country was ignored after he came home. Trump’s call to ‘Make America Great Again’ appeals to Jimmy’s disillusionment. But his new-found politics drives a wedge between him and his wife and daughter until a chance visit by the son of a fallen comrade makes him doubt his convictions and leads to a profound emotional reconciliation.

In recent years, political debate has become bitterly polarised in the US and increasingly also in the UK. Intolerant ideas are freely expressed in mainstream politics and people once thought extreme now lead populist parties with huge public support in democracies across the world.

This multi-layered, often humorous and intensely moving solo play by award-winning actor-playwright Richard Vergette is a timely exploration of what drives populist politics and how they seduce the disillusioned and the disaffected.

Following 4 and 5 star reviews in Edinburgh and at London’s Park Theatre, it is touring the UK.

Leaving Vietnam contains descriptions of death in warfare and the use of minor swear words.

If you're joining us today to catch one of the two performances of Sleeping with Beauty, an adult pantomime, you'll be made up to hear that Happy Ending Pantomimes will return next year!

Get ready for the udderly cheeky, naughtiest version of Jack and the Beanstalk you’ve ever dared to see! 🐮

In this fabulously filthy twist, Dame Trott’s farm is in shambles... Desperate to rescue the farm, our hero Jack heads to the cattle market to save the day but is milked by the fiendish Fleshlight into handing over their beloved cow Daisy for a handful of “magic beans".

Full of filthy innuendos, outrageous outuendos, laugh-out-loud routines and plenty of bean-tickling antics for you to join in with.

Leave the little ones at home, and help us Jack Off the Beanstalk… it’s a big one. 🍆

Tomorrow, you're invited to dive into the funniest, filthiest, most wickedly fabulous pantomime that’s anything but a fairy tale! 🍆

A side-splitting adults-only twist on the classic Sleeping Beauty where we follow Princess Rose and friends as they compete to bed the Prince and fight against the devilishly h***y Maleficent.

A pantomime that proves happily ever after can be a bit more complicated and a lot more fun! Just one encounter with a little prick could wear our princess out for a hundred years!

This isn’t your grandma’s bedtime story dear.

The letters have gone up on the new, exterior sign for The Windmill Performance & Education Centre 🪧

As promised in the earlier post, the previously wonky L is no longer wonky! 🤣

05/02/2025

Join us this month for a one-off screening of The Commander!

The film tells the remarkable true story of Second World War submarine captain Salvatore Todaro, his vessel the Cappellini, and the unlikely moment that follows his crew coming under fire in October 1940.

A brief but violent battle ensues which ends when Todaro sinks the opposing ship – and it is at this point that the commander reaches a decision that is destined to make history: to rescue the 26 Belgian survivors, who would otherwise have been condemned to drown in the middle of the ocean, and to disembark them at the nearest safe harbour, as required by the law of the sea.

To take them all on board, he is forced to sail on the surface for three days, making himself visible to the enemy, risking his own life and those of his men…

Links Signs & Graphics are back in today installing the finished exterior sign for The Windmill Performance & Education Centre! 🪧

(Don’t worry, the L won’t be wonky once it’s finished) 🤣

Due to open to the public this April, the venue will be home to community choirs and arts groups, youth theatres and dance projects, home education classes, writing and reading sessions, dementia groups, cinema, workshops & live music.

This new building will house:

We have already raised £2.8 million, but they need your help to bring in the final £200,000 required to finish The Windmill Performance & Education Centre. Every donation, whether £1 or £1000, brings us closer to creating a space where our community can learn, create and shine.

For Jack and his little sister Molly Easter is all about eggs. But how big can an egg get? And what wonderful surprises might there be inside? 🥚

Based on the picture book by Steven Lee and performed with a magical mixture of live action, animation and puppetry, this scrumptious family musical is guaranteed to make your little ones love Easter (and each other) more than ever before.

One way to enjoy classical music is to not take it so seriously...

With more than 5 million tickets sold in 50+ counties, the string quartet MozART group has more than just a smattering of humour interwoven amongst the horsehair of their bows. Hysterical, even if you don’t know your Mozart from your Bach, but exquisitely performed if you do!

The base of this hilariously funny group is a superb string quartet, whose patron is Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Two violinists, a violist and a cellist dressed in high class tails and patent leather shoes. But...that's about it when we want to use the term "classical" in connection with the MozART group.
