Our second 'Late Night by Candlelight' event this year is a celebration of the music of Bach. Pianist Fred Thomas has arranged some of Bach's larger-scale pieces for his own ensemble of piano, violin and cello for this concert, which is inspired by his album 'Three or One'. Listen to his album over on our website (link below) and here enjoy a clip of him playing Bach while doing a soundcheck at Vienna's Konzerthaus.

Mae ein hail ddigwyddiad 'Late Night by Candlelight' eleni’n ddathlu cerddoriaeth Bach. Mae’r pianydd Fred Thomas wedi addasu rhai o weithiau mwy Bach i’w ensemble o lawfwrdd, fiolin a sielo ar gyfer y digwyddiad sydd wedi’i ysbrydoli gan ei albwm 'Three or One'. Gwrandewch ar ei albwm draw ar ein gwefan (dolen isod) ac yma mwynhewch gipolwg arno’n chwarae Bach wrth gynnal gwiriad sain yn Konzerthaus Vienna.

The Washboard Resonators
Friday 1 March - 7.30pm
Described as sounding and looking like ‘a ragtime street band meets a Hollywood musical on a theatre stage somewhere in around 1932’.
The Washboard Resonators' favorite performers include the jazz, ragtime, hokum, blues, comedy and vaudeville sounds of Louis Armstrong, Blind Boy Fuller, Fred Astaire, The Washboard Rhythm Kings, Robert Johnson, Gene Krupa, Max Miller, George Formby, Tampa Red and The Memphis Jug Band.
The spirit of these long gone artists and their music is summoned back to life every time Martyn and Jack take the stage with their mixture of old traditional songs and new songs written by the band.
Tickets: £15 | £13
