And just like that the sales of Fresh Farm flowers comes to a close for 2025!🌸
The photos in this post primarily relate to the dahlias at the end of our season, just to show the vast range of colours and shapes available at the end of summer- early Autumn.
It’s certainly been a whirlwind of a year in more ways than one so far ! 🌪️💦💨☀️🌈
From early spring plantings and the first 2 wedding of the season Easter Week, until now, like where did all the time in between go !!!
The summer has rolled by with lots of gorgeous flowers planted and cut from the field to make gift bouquets, we’ve held some fabulous workshops and flowered lots of weddings that were truly unique and Beautiful.
A dry spring, warm summer and wet and windy weather certainly gave us all the extremes, but the flowers came through it all, nature has a way of regulating itself, doesn’t it?
But having said that, in all my years of growing flowers I’ve never ever had a season where there’s been one bad storm never mind two that flattened dahlias! 🤔
Today the very last of the dahlias have been cut for some promised orders going out tomorrow, but apart from that it’s the end of the official cut flower season at Beechfield🌿💐
We’ve still got some lovely weddings to flower up between now and December and we will be able to use lots of our own lovely foliage and incorporate some beautiful dried flowers to the mix just to keep the Beechfield style !
And I don’t want to mention the C word in this post but there will be room for ordering gifts but just not yet … please!
And as for now, well there a list of winter jobs to do with some already started,
Beds all need cleared, wed and mulched.
New bulbs need planted and lots of admin, including all the seed sowing schedules and colours schemes needed for the 2026 brides, lots of spreadsheets for absolutely everything!!
So don’t worry, I’m not sitting twiddling my thumbs!
Feel free to message anytime with any queries .
But for now enjoy the rest of October !
And thank you x
