Stubbings Estate is located to the west side of Maidenhead in the county of Berkshire, just 30 minutes from central London. The Estate attracts a regular flow of customers to its famous Garden Centre, and lovely Café housed within a glasshouse structure overlooking an 18th century walled garden. Alongside this, the Estate hosts an events programme throughout the year, including Opera and Shakespea

re nights, Christmas events, and much, much more. The gardens of the historic house are opened on a number of weekends during the year, as well as being available for private hire for weddings and functions.

�This beautiful Hydrangea is known for its large, creamy-white blooms that appear in Summer and gradually fade to a soft lime as Autumn sets in.

With its upright form and soft green foliage eventually turning golden, ‘Annabelle’ makes a stunning addition to partly shaded borders, especially when planted in groups.

🌿 With the UK experiencing a mini heatwave, here are a few simple ways to help your garden cope with the heat:

💦 Water early in the morning or later in the evening to reduce evaporation and give plants time to absorb moisture.
⛱️ Provide temporary shade using cloth, umbrellas, or by moving pots out of direct sunlight during the hottest hours.
🪵Add a layer of organic mulch - bark, wood chips, or compost - to help retain soil moisture and keep roots cool.

Don’t forget about yourself too! If you are out gardening this weekend remember to wear spf, stay hydrated and avoid the midday sun where possible ☀️

We’re thrilled to kick things off with and their brilliant take on Much Ado About Nothing! 🚴‍♂️🎭

This incredible troupe of four actors cycles from venue to venue - carrying everything they need (yes, even the costumes!) on their bikes.

Stubbings is delighted to be taking part in National Children’s Gardening Week, running from 24th May to 1st June 2025! 🌷

To celebrate, every child who enjoys a meal in our Café will receive a free pack of seeds to inspire their gardening journey. 🌱

In addition, £1 from each children’s meal will be donated to the wonderful charity, , which creates magical gardens for children in hospices living with life-limiting conditions.

Join us in nurturing a love for gardening while supporting a truly meaningful cause. 🫛🥕🧑‍🌾
