MOTHERS DAY // HERE’S TO US

Today’s a little nod to all the mums — the ones who are not only raising babies but raising businesses, building empires, and somehow still managing to remember what’s for dinner.

Mother’s Day hits differently when you realise just how many incredible women in this industry aren’t just creating magic for weddings… we’re holding down the fort at home too. We’re juggling clients, timelines, florals, invoices, emails, last-minute panic texts — and then heading home to wipe noses, cook tea, load the dishwasher, and pretend we’ve got our s**t together.

The truth is, we’re winging it half the time. But we’re also showing up. For our kids. For our families. For our clients. And for ourselves.

So here’s to the women who are absolutely smashing the wedding world — while being the glue that holds everything else together behind the scenes. It’s exhausting, it’s chaotic, it’s bloody hard work… but we wouldn’t change it.

HELLO // SAM & KATIE

We’re Sam and Katie, the faces behind A Touch of Kent, a luxury wedding and event styling company based in the heart of Kent.

Katie spent 17 years as Cabin Manager for EasyJet, while Sam worked in the ambulance service. Our journey into the world of florals and styling started as a shared passion, and we assumed it would be a slow and steady climb. But here we are, entering our third year, and the opportunities we’ve had so far have been nothing short of incredible!

We specialise in high-end, bespoke, and modern florals for weddings and events, paired with full styling services—think tableware, candles, and custom signage to bring your vision to life. With meticulous attention to detail and a flawless finish, our designs create unforgettable experiences.

Last night, we had the absolute honor of attending The Wedding Industry Awards ceremony as finalists!

To have made it this far, just two years into our journey, feels like such an incredible achievement. While we didn’t bring home an award this time, we are overflowing with pride and gratitude for all the love, support, and belief in A Touch of Kent.

They say, what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger—and this experience has only fueled our fire! We’re more determined than ever to continue creating breathtaking moments and doing what we do best.

FROM CANADA//WITH LOVE

We had the absolute pleasure of styling a stunning autumn-inspired wedding at the breathtaking Port Lympne Zoo for a beautiful couple who flew all the way from Canada to say “I do.”

True to our style, we added our unique twist to the brief and crafted bespoke centerpieces using our signature candelabras.
Each table was adorned with a striking mix of autumnal leaves, vibrant flowers, and soft grasses.
The moment we placed the arrangements, the sunlight poured through the ceiling, casting a golden glow over the rich autumnal hues—as though the table had been patiently waiting for these blooms to arrive.
