💫 We are seeing an increased number of brides shopping for ideas before they are ready to buy, finding the one and then being heartbroken to walk away from it! 🥺
Bride's typically find their dress earlier than they expect to, and there is every chance it can happen in your first shop. Instead of shopping too soon, book your appointments 18 months ahead of the wedding, making sure your 'I DO CREW' are with you on the day. You also need to make sure you know your budget and have your deposit ready to go at your first appointment JUST IN CASE your YES MOMENT happens before you expect it to (it probably will 😉).
💕 Firstly, all the while we understand a woman's desire to feel the best version of herself on her wedding day, your partner wants to marry the version of you they know. This is often the exact person you are now, love handles n'all!
However there are two ways you can lose weight and smash your wedding dress shopping if you are shedding a few lbs.
First option gives you more choice of dresses. You do your dress shopping 12-18 months before the wedding and discuss sizing with your stylist when you place the order. YOU CAN HAVE A DRESS TAKEN IN BY TWO DRESS SIZES, so often, you can order the size you are now and have it taken in. If you are dropping more than 2 dress sizes, your stylist can best advise.
The next option will leave you only off-the-peg options, which drastically reduces your choice of dresses. You do shopping 6 months before the wedding having lost the desired weight. This means you have time for alterations, and know the size you will be on your big day. Not a good option for brides with particular tastes or ideas!!

PROTECT YOUR YES MOMENT!!!
It's a special moment, a memory that will last a lifetime...and this is how you ensure it's the best it can be!
1. You bring everyone you need to be present when you say yes to EVERY APPOINTMENT you book! You never know when you will find the one, it could even be the first shop! So if Mum/sister/nan/best friend have to be there....DO NOT SHOP WITHOUT THEM!
2. A sensitive topic...but have your deposit ready. Always best to double check the budget you have for your dress and that 50% of that is available for a made to order dress or 100% is there for an off the peg option. How heartbreaking would it be to fall for the one and not be able to order it?
3. Be prepared to fall for a dress you might not expect to! It happens more than you think and it's OK! The dress that makes you feel radiant is the one and it may not be the one on your Pinterest board!
And 4. Know when to stop!
When you are standing in a dress, you love it, your wedding suddenly feels real and you know it can't be beaten....it's THE ONE! Congratulations!! You've done it!
Which means attending more appointments is unnecessary and will waste your time/ confuse you. If you have other appointments booked, politely cancel and use the time to celebrate with your bride tribe instead!
Your yes moment is something that can not be recreated. By making sure everything is in place for your appointments, you can confidently say yes in the moment you form an emotional attachment to the dress and everyone's excitment is at it's peak! It seriously can't be beaten!

A PERSONAL ANNOUNCEMEMT FROM ME...
As I can't hide it any longer....
I'M HAVING ANOTHER BABY!
My (not so little) bundle is due around the New Year, making me 16 weeks pregnant, but feeling more like 25! But we are thrilled and beyond excited that our family is growing and our son get's to be a big brother!
But fear not! Although I may be absent from the boutique for a short time around Christmas/Winter, I WILL be working from home (I'm a little bit obsessed like that 😵💫) and my fabulous #TeamVEB will be smashing it in the shop for all our brides so our fabulous service will not be interrupted!

The honest answer is no and yes!
We offer a FREE OF CHARGE standard appointment Tuesday-Saturday (90 minutes) where you will still receive our usual friendly welcome and offer of refreshments. Our advice during the appointment will be exactly the same as any other and you will still find your dream dress with us!
HOWEVER
If you are after an extra special level of care and experience, then you can UPGRADE TO A V.I.B APPOINTMENT for a cost of £30 where you will receive the following:
A pre-appointment phone conversation with your highly experienced stylist to discuss your wedding, ideas, appointment and concerns AHEAD OF YOUR APPOINTMENT.
A 2 hour appointment (weekdays) or 90 minute appointment (Saturdays) with that same stylist.
Up to 5 (1 per guest) of our hand mixed cocktails to sip and enjoy during your appointment!
A bowl of sugary goodness to keep your energy levels high!
An accessories appointment following your yes to one of our dream dresses where we can complete your bridal style!
