So it's been some time since we last posted, but we've had to allow ourselves to process what we have done as a community in our local county town of Maidstone 😅 Honestly we are speechless 😲 to put it simply... just WOWZERZZ 🤯🤩 We can't believe the turn out for the whole day, especially the pride parade 🥳
Seeing all of you wonderful people, as The Madame puts it "Turning Up" at the parade was very emotional and overwhelming in the best of ways 😭💕
To see all the wonderful lgbtqia+ people and allies in Maidstone, who once felt like they had to hide in the shadows but now be in the spotlight, celebrating love and diversity in a town that we thought could never truly be 🌈 We thank everyone on the Maidstone Pride team and our volunteers for making this day be as amazing and safe as it can be 🥰 A huge thank you to @themadameofficial for hosting throughout the day 🫶 but especially a huge thank you to all of you in the public who participated in the parade or watched from the sidelines, turning up to represent our beautiful community and fighting for our rights ✊
Pride isn't just a celebration but also a protest ✊like The Madame says, if you feel safe to do so then please "CALL IT OUT! and educate others like you have done yourselves" 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️
So who else is buzzing for Maidstone Pride 2025!!! 🥳🥳 We have some big shoes to fill for next year as this one was such a success, but we hope to see all of you at next year's event where we will be striving for bigger and better ✨🌈
