The last of my Christmas wreath making workshops happened at the weekend attended by such a lovely group of people including friends, families, couples, ex brides (and groom) and a bride to be. All I hope had a fun afternoon, maybe learned new skills and certainly all made some beautiful pieces for doors. I was so impressed with everyone this year.
My wonderful masterchef friend Julie from @kentcooking once again baked a fabulous selection of fresh home made goodies including brownies, shortbread biscuits, mincemeat crumbles and perfect sausage rolls especially for us, which goes without saying were second to none! Absolutely No shop bought mince pies here!
I was also super lucky to have a glamorous assistant in the form of my lovely friend Claire who did a Stirling job of pouring mulled wine and clearing up after us all, and boy is there a lot to clear up. She also produced this little video of the day! That’s really multi-skilling and she was rewarded with the demonstration wreath which now has a new home on her door in Dorset.

So our wedding season is beginning to wind its way slowly down to something a little quieter and more sedate but we had the pleasure of yet another beautiful autumn weekend of weddings.
This amazing day happened yesterday @nettlesteadplace a stunning venue on our doorstep that we know and love well.
We’re back to decorate there again next week so watch this space!
There were so many beautiful floral elements to this wedding it was a feast for the eyes at every turn.
Think my favourite has to be the amazing cake display and of course fabulous cake by @cbcakery what a centrepiece!
We are now seeing couples for 2025/2026 weddings and as our diary slowly clears, nows the time to make consultation appointments.

Well today was a good day!!
Another terrific show case, hosted by @hever_castleweddings was crammed full of gorgeous, engaged couples and their families, beautifully organised, the very best of the best wedding suppliers (who are also by the way, lovely people) and I can’t recommend highly enough, such a super positive vibe!! Really noticed the buzz of excitement today and the time just flew by.
What a fabulous venue, you can’t fail to be impressed!
A pleasure and honour to be a part of it all and it was a tonic just to chat flowers at the end of a stressful week of house moving, turns out it was absolutely just what I needed!

We understand that couples need transparency when it comes to prices and sometimes it’s useful to know upfront how much to budget. Let’s face it not many couples have any idea how much wedding flowers are going to cost.
Prices are not something florists like to talk about, because frankly each of us are slightly different with what we use and what overheads we have and no two of us will ever quote the same. We often need to have lots of details before we can give you an accurate price. It’s how it is with a creative field and we hope our customers will choose us not just for the price but for our skill and because we’re great at what we do!
But if you’re not into all that, isnt it easier to have things laid out more simply? I think so which was why I designed these, and what makes them so popular, they can be used as they are or as a base to add to and you know from the beginning what to budget.

It can be so disappointing when this happens but we all know it’s a possibility and just beyond our control. It’s so important to remember that a wedding is about so much more than a sunny day. Some even say it’s lucky! It’s my 26th anniversary today and it rained a bit on mine too so maybe there’s some truth in that?
Thankfully It all seemed to be easing off as we left and I know it won’t have dampened any spirits or wedding vibe as a wedding @hever_castleweddings is always glorious come rain or shine.
It was just me and my daughter today setting up (am making the most of her before uni) we had fun even in the rain ☔️ and I am positive that everyone else would have had the best afternoon too especially after some fizz and canapes!

Natural bo ho flavour to this wedding @thegardensyalding the other day. Soft neutral tones and a touch of pampas throughout, we especially enjoyed these natural tablescapes down the full length of the guest tables. As well as fun to make it’s an opportunity to be creative with texture and design, giving something interesting and beautiful for guests to look at.
When I went to collect my small items the next day not a single flower was left so I hope they were all taken home and enjoyed by guests well into the next week!
When people say to me ‘ahh fresh flowers it’s a shame they don’t last’ I always respond they last longer than the food, the music, the wine, the cake and the day itself, infact often well into the week ahead and of course like everything else are in the pictures and in memories forever.

This amazing wedding happened yesterday @falconhurstestate and my goodness what a glorious day for it! We loved everything about this, the colours, the space and especially the exquisite finishing touches. Nothing overdone but everything done just right. Fresh flowers everywhere, absolutely nothing fake and so many compliments from just about everyone who came into the marquee about scent, colour and just general wow factor.
For a job like this there is always a pretty early start, lots of going up and down ladders, in and out of Churches, backwards and forwards with vans (and for this one avoiding inquisitive cows) loading and unloading, a lot of laughing, a bit of stress, a bit of clock watching so as not to run out of time and plenty of aching limbs and backs at the end of the day. The results spoke for themselves and we went home a tired, but happy bunch of florists.
It was an added bonus to meet other lovely and helpful suppliers from @touchays_se_wedding_caterer
