So it’s been quite some time since we have posted on socials, this is quite simply because it’s been so hectic! We had a lovely little surprise with the gorgeous little baby Ryle coming early. So a huge congratulations to my sister Nicole, Danny and Antonia on the birth of their baby boy and baby brother. Born in February and already had his first African holiday 🙌

Brought up in Tom Kerridge’s kitchen, he favours classic, simple dishes, however his time on Richard Branson’s Necker Island in the Caribbean was bound to influence him. We have had a number of people asking us what is happening as we have made a few changes to the business recently…..so here goes….. In 2016
we opened the doors to our beloved little eatery. The Curious Eatery. After 3 successful years, the pandemic hit. We fought tooth and nail for our business and our livelihoods. We became the local Chippy (who remembers Chippy Friday 🐟), the local pizzeria, and the local supermarket (Saturday Essentials Yay! 🛒). We bought dining globes and dabbled in glamping, we became Boughton Monchelsea’s answer to ‘Hello Fresh!’
Coming out of the pandemic and into staff shortages, the energy crisis and the discovery that one of us was 4 months pregnant 🤰 We had to regroup and plan how we were going to weather the next storm. Our events and outside catering were doing well but the eatery was becoming increasingly difficult to manage. In 2021 we closed the eatery as you know it and became a multi purpose event space. In 2023, after opening the bar at weekends and listening to what the locals wanted, we took The Curious Eatery signage down and opened the doors to The Albion Inn. Luckily we had not gotten around to removing the original signage as it was village history.
So while our events company The Curious continues to thrive, the pub The Albion Inn continues to battle the elements that many hospitality businesses are faced with, so please head over to .albion.inn and check out what we do, give us a like and pop in and say hi. We still make good, honest, fresh food and serve some Awsome tipples. 🍻
And obviously if you need a hand throwing one hell of a party we can do that too. 🎉
