My first ever Floral Pumpkin Workshop held at The Signal Box Cafe at HBN Station this afternoon, you could hear a pin drop the concentration levels were that high. All the ladies did a brilliant job with their arrangements which are now back home displayed with pride. šššš
Whoās ready for all things Autumn?
I have a folder for every subject saved on mine from flowers (obvs) to home decor, fashion, how to make a fussy child eat fruit & veg without them knowing - not cracked that one yet, still persevering. Itās a fantastic tool, a place to go to get inspiration & ideas, a visual aid to share excitedly with your wedding party & vendors, all to help you create that dream wedding of yours BUTā¦ Keep this in mind when using it, especially for flowersā¦ā¢ Not all flowers are that colour in real life. There are filters used by the wonderfully talented photographers at times which distort the true colour so donāt be alarmed when I say I canāt get that exact shade - Iām not being awkward, itās because it does not actually exist but I will always find the nearest to it that I possibly can. ā¢ The flowers you see in that beautiful bouquet youāve pinned to your board may not be in season at the time of your wedding so consult with me first as to whatās achievable as thereās always a just as gorgeous alternative we can use that you may not have thought of. ā¢ When hiring me as your wedding florist you are basically hiring an artist! If Iām asked to duplicate a bouquet this limits creativity & the opportunity for personalisation. Absolutely do show me your inspo pics so I can go off & design with them in mind, as this freedom allows me to explore all the flower types, the wide range of colours & I can then incorporate any meaningful pieces & unique elements too. Allow me to create something beautifully unique tailored just for you whilst ensuring that the flowers reflect your individual style.Use Pinterest for inspiration not duplication! Give me a šš» if you found this useful and love a bit of Pinterest too.
EUCALYPTUSā¦. šThis time of year (June-September) eucalyptus enters its growing season - I know right, in peak wedding season! Mother Nature messed up slightly there eh. šQuality can be hit and miss during this period so here are some alternatives I suggest using instead. ššpittosporum ralphiišsalalšsenecio (dusty miller)šolive. A specialist wedding florist will always be able to provide you with alternatives so that you still get that beautiful bouquet you always wanted but also by keeping flowers and foliage seasonal you avoid overspending on expensive imports too. šWant to talk about your 2025 wedding flowers in more detail - head on up to my enquiry form link in my bio and ping it over to me with all the details you have so far. Hurry though, if booking before the end of July you will receive a wedding gift from me worth Ā£100.00! See my pinned post top of the page for more details. š
PEONIESā¢ šø1) Always buy in bud showing just a flash of colour. Never buy fully opened peonies as they will have a much shorter vase life. 2) Wash and massage the buds gently in a little water to remove the sticky sap as this sap stops them from opening fully. 3) As with all flowers keep out of direct sunlight, change the water regularly - if you wouldnāt drink it, itās not clean enough for your flowers either, remove all foliage beneath the water line and trim the stems at an angle about 2cm every few days. If you found this useful save for later or share with a friend.
FOLLOW YOUR HEART OR THE LATEST TREND? Which would you pick? I believe stick to what makes your heart sing and most of my clients do too. Other things to consider when choosing your wedding flowersā¦Scent - this will trigger happy emotions for years to come when you smell that sweet perfume from your wedding day. Table details - candles, glassware, napkins etcā¦ choose complementary colours not ones that clash or having everything one tone. Bridesmaids dresses - again complimenting the colour scheme rather than having a harsh or bland effect. Let your floral designer guide you, use their knowledge and experience to the max, that way you can sit back and enjoy the magical wedding journey knowing itās all under control in the hands of a trusted expert. Comment āweddingā below to be sent my wedding enquiry form to fill out and letās get a consultation booked in and tick flowers off that wedding to do list. x

This yearās Christmas wreath for our own front door, beautifully designed at one of my recent workshops by my creative little Daughter - ever so nearly 9 years old (time stop please). Iām loving the whole oranges, pop of pink pepper berries and that gorgeous sage green velvet ribbon. Oh and not forgetting those cute vintage bells. I have a few more bespoke orders to do and then thatās a wrap for 2023. Cannot wait to see what 2024 brings. If you are interested in joining one of my seasonal workshops next year then sign up to my newsletter in the link in my bio on Instagram to be the first to hear about them plus priority booking options. Be quick when you do see them though as they sell out fast.
An amazing afternoon spent at @junipersmaidstone with this lovely lot! Christmas and cocktails - you canāt get much better than that! Lots of different styles today which I love as they are always an expression of your personality whether itās flamboyant, understated, wild or neat itās unique just like the creator. Thank you as always to @southeastflowers for providing the finest foliage again and again and @southeastsundries for all the gorgeous Christmas decorations.
About last nightā¦.What a great evening at @aura.sanctuary hosting a private wreath workshop for a group of friends. The girls had a great time catching up with one another over mulled wine and mince pies whilst creating something gorgeous and Christmassy for their front doors. So very impressed with them all and what they achieved as beginners to wreath making. They were very proud of their creations which is always lovely to see when teaching. Like this reel if you think they did well.
