Watched BBC Breakfast this morning and we can definitely confirm that live music has the power to spark a memory of your youth. We see it every time we perform, even when the residents are non verbal, and no,they don’t want Vera Lynn or ‘Pack up your troubles in your old kit bag’!
It’s Rock ‘n’ Roll!🎸🎤👏

Another busy year, 56 concerts this year, a record! With new venues in Warminster and Trowbridge recommended by existing organisations. The highlight being a joint concert with the Corsham and Colerne Military Wives Choir in Chippenham.
We continue to support Julia’s House Children’s Hospice Care Centre Devizes presenting them with £4000 this year totalling just short of £18,000 in the last 4years, Covid years included!
Since we started 4 years ago a total of £44,715 for charity.
One recent pleasant surprise, Brian Eliot, one of our original members has rejoined the group after taking time out to look after his wife Jill. We missed his deep bass voice and his stage presence.
56 gigs AND rehearsing is a commitment we all love but we couldn’t do it without the dedication of Keith Clifford, who organisers all the concerts, takes care of correspondence, operates the drum and bass machine and keeps us all in check.
Phil Hall, our musical director with a lifetimes experience of play Lead guitar in nemerous sixties bands.Quite mesmerising to hear him play. We are all in awe of him.Last but certainly not least our long suffering but supportive wives
We have one last concert tomorrow, New Years Eve, in Bath ( 23 booked so far next Year)
A Happy and Healthy New Year to you and yours

Always nice to get positive feedback

Time for an update I think!
14 years after a tentative start we continue with the same enthusiasm we started with despite the march of time, lost four gained three and one of those not retirement age!
Like all singing groups Covid played havoc with rehearsals and concerts but a few of us took the opportunity to record our back catalogue. Some we still sing some we don’t.
We are back up to pre covid levels with performances. Fifty concerts by Christmas and our donations to Julia’s House, our chosen charity, of £15,320 brings our total charitable giving to
£42,715.
Non of this would be possible without the dedication and skill of two outstanding individuals Keith Clifford our administrator,
Concert secretary and treasurer and
Phil Hall our musical maestro and brilliant guitarist.Phil rehearses most days for our concerts and boy, it shows!
