A specialist in the language of flowers Persephone Violet aims to provide customers with a unique product and experience. Emily the owner of Persephone Violet is Level 4 qualified and has over twelve years experience within the floristry industry. Working alongside Emily is a fabulous small team of florists that aim to provide great flowers that are fantastic value for money.

Friday flowers are back! Bright and beautiful this week in yellows and purples. We’ve used scented Genista, Liatris, Blooms, Brassica, Craspedia, Achillea, Campanula and Parvi Eucalyptus.

Hello! We’re back from our break and raring to go tomorrow morning back in our enchanting flower shop to kick start what is going to be a fantastic year.

Freshly stocked, glitter banished and plants a plenty we are ready, refreshed and fully of energy.

Normal hours resume this week and we cannot wait to get back to what we do best.

This week has been MEGA! Which means I’ve taken hardly any photos and shared nothing of what it means to be a florist at Christmas.

So here’s a blurry photo taken today as this STUNNER of a basket left the shop - it doesn’t show how incredible this basket was nor its size, content or impressiveness. Instead it shows the realness of running a retail florist shop at Christmas - it’s chaos, wonderful, happy glitter covered chaos, but chaos all the same. We’ve been looking at life lately through the blurry lens this was taken, running on fumes from an empty cup.

Our wonderful haven of a shop is open everyday to Christmas Eve, we are still accepting collection orders and local deliveries. We will help as best we can all of our customers at this late stage to create the perfect gift for a loved one near or far.

We appreciate everyone’s kindness and patience while we flower what feels like the entire nation at times, and conversations uplift our tired spirits to remind us that Christmas truly is the best time of the year.

If you pop into a florist (or any retail shop for that matter) this Christmas please be reminded we are all humans giving up the lead up to Christmas to help you make yours more beautiful. Give us an extra smile, nice comment or words of encouragement they go a very long way.

Happy Thursday! Here we are heading into our final week of flowering in 2024 - our 11th Christmas in business, and our 8th on your high street.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your continued support of our flower shop all year round. We are florists not just for Christmas but 52 weeks a year, 365 days.

Every sale, nice comment and smiling face in our store means the absolute world to us. Without customers we wouldn’t be here, we wouldn’t employ 9 local people and we wouldn’t be able to flower so many wonderful life events.

Thank you so very much for helping me (Emily) to bring floral dreams to life - yours and mine!

Happy Christmas to all of our wonderful customers near and far. Here’s to a fabulous festive season for all.

Woweeeeeeee wreath making this year has been oh so wonderful! We’ve welcomed literally 100’s of you to 4 different venues to give wreath making a go. Everyone has created a super wreath for their door and had fun whilst doing it. It really is a pinch me moment sometimes that this is my job!

We’ve got just four classes left this week before we pack away the aprons - only a couple of spaces available on Saturday’s class at Whatley Manor if you want to join us. It’s your last chance for 2024!

How gorgeous do these stunning urns look in Tetbury! We loved dressing these incredible vessels yesterday ready for Christmas. Lots of festive foliage’s, berries and twigs were used finishing off the christmassy mix with dried hydrangeas and cotton.

Christmas is just around the corner so everyday is filled with something super creative which we are loving! It’s a truly wonderful time. 🎄 🤶 🎅

So I missed a day yesterday of #meetthemakerweek it was a busy day so it slipped my mind! Anyhow let me catch up. The promt for day 5 was Community over competition. So I decided to show how crazy I go for collaboration (and Christmas 😂🤣 all the c’s!) and for building relationships with other businesses. This lovely boomerang is an @irishgreenguys wreath delivered today for us to decorate for our shop door (always exceeding expectations james!). A fab foliage company who just love florists and do everything they can to support us. I have the best network of florist friends and connections some organic, some through events and workshops, some from college and some through the @florismartuk family. There are too many to tag here but I’m grateful for each and everyone of these florist friends who all just get me! Florists are a specific type of human and I love how easy it is to get on with someone who is as passionate about blooms as me. Other business owners - both on our high street and further afield you inspire and help guide me in the best directions. Again, other business owners just get me and understand what we are all about. Bound not only by business knowledge and values but by dreams and ambition. We are all here to do well and be successful in our own way. Flowers don’t worry about whats growing around them they simply bloom. In business there is a lot of time spent comparing and this is too easy to do. So in true Persephone style we urge you to go and build solid foundations with community at the heart of it and you’ll do well in whatever you put your hand to.
