I always ask my couples for a review after the big day (and the team do the same).
Not just for future couples (though it does help them feel confident putting such an important day in our hands), but also because… let’s be honest, it’s nice to be told you did a bloody good job.

Planning a wedding takes heart, headspace, and a whole lot of hustle and hearing that all the effort made a real difference... That’s the kind of validation that keeps me going.

Every review means something special. But now and then, one comes along that genuinely stops me in my tracks, smile (perhaps cry a little) and feel proud of myself. So this deserves its moment in the spotlight.

Yes, I’m shouting about it. And yes, I think that’s perfectly OK.

Interrupting usual posting about other people’s events, to talk about one of my own… nine years ago.

Happy anniversary to the one who puts up with me the most.
Sixteen years together and what a crazy ride it’s been.

We picked this song for our first dance on a whim - no one had ever heard of it but now it’s quite popular. So here’s a few slides to accompany it - a sneak peek into my own big day.

You Don’t Know What You Don’t Know

Booking your dream band before securing the venue?
Telling your guests you're getting married at home without knowing the site access?
Or spending 80% of your budget on styling, with no contingency for logistics?

These are real stories I could tell you a lot more about...

A planner’s job is to see the whole picture from day one and steer you away from costly missteps.

The best bit? With the teams we can bring together, we still make it look gorgeous.

You Deserve to Be Present

Your wedding morning shouldn't be about managing anything but mimosas, music, and meaningful moments.

It definitely shouldn't be about chasing suppliers, moving chairs, or solving problems you didn’t know could exist.

A planner makes sure you (and your loved ones) stay in the moment, not in a logistics frenzy.

You get to just show up. We’ll handle the rest.

Behind the scenes

The most beautiful wedding can still fall apart behind the scenes without someone experienced pulling the strings.
Investing in a planner isn’t about giving up control. It’s about gaining peace of mind and knowing someone has your back from the very first decision to the final fizz pour.

It looks Good Because It Was Planned!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Lately, it’s been refreshing to see more of us in the industry talking honestly about how social media can skew expectations when it comes to weddings.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
And to be totally real, it’s had an impact on my business too. I’ve noticed couples putting all their focus (and budget) into the look of the day, often before thinking about who’s actually going to make it all happen.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
So over the next few weeks, I’m going to share a few thoughts on this.
Pinterest-perfect weddings don’t happen by magic...they happen by planning and good advice.
That stunning tablescape? Timed delivery, layout logistics, supplier coordination, and lots of behind the scenes decisions got it there.
Aesthetics are the outcome, not the starting point.
Hire a planner who understands both the beauty and the behind-the-scenes.
You deserve a wedding that feels as good as it looks.

Calling all fellow creatives within the Yorkshire area, this one’s especially for you.

In case you missed my story the other week, I’m so excited to share that I’ve partnered with the beautiful to host a FREE co-working day and you’re invited.

This idea has been in my head for a while and thanks to some help, I now have a fitting host.
I’ve absolutely loved getting together on a monthly basis with a few lovely wedding suppliers, and now I’d love to open it up to more of you within any creative industry.

If you’re a business owner who usually works solo, you’ll know how isolating that can feel sometimes (especially when a social media scroll leads to comparison, right?). You might not need a full-time co-working space, but every now and then, a change of scenery and good company can do wonders. That’s exactly what this day is for.

So here’s the plan for my first :
Date: Thursday 24th April 2025
Time: 10am–4pm (arrive/leave when suits within that timescale– no pressure!)
Location: Priory Cottages
Bring your laptop, to-do list, and lunch – we’ve got the refreshments covered.
You’ll have a space to work, but unlike traditional co-working setups, chatting and connection are encouraged.
We’ll pause at lunchtime for a relaxed mini networking session too.

Let’s take a day to work together, share ideas, and lift each other up. I’d absolutely love to see some of you there!

Drop me a message if you’d like to come or want more details - spaces are limited and from the original story, some have already gone.

Meet the LND Events Team - Fun Facts Edition!

This post has been a long time coming. At the end of 2024, we had a little team reshuffle, and now that we finally have our pro shots, it’s time to make it official.

So here’s a little intro to the faces behind LND Events, with some random facts you never knew you needed…We take weddings seriously, but ourselves? Not so much!

Ellen (owner of LND) – Allergic to oranges. Just oranges. No other citrus. Weird, right? Also, fully believes in ghosts (York is haunted), and could probably run her own ghost tour.
If you cry, she cries—so don’t be surprised if she’s silently sobbing in the back of your ceremony. 😭

Emily (The Adventurer) – Spent 16 years traveling the world as a professional dancer & choreographer. Once did a 15,000ft skydive without telling anyone. And yes, salt & vinegar crisps make her forehead and nose sweat. 😂

Emma (The Newbie - but not to weddings) Once TAXIED in an F1 fighter jet (yes, really). Works in financial services by day, but couldn’t resist coming back to weddings for fun. Also, unintentionally gave all her kids & pets names that end in ‘e’ sounds!

Now you know the team, and our quirks, tell us something about yourself.

I can't believe the 2025 wedding season is almost here for LND Events.
My team and I are kicking things off with our first wedding on April 5th...where has the time gone?

This also means it’s nearly a year since K&P’s incredible two-part wedding celebration. Their second event at .house was breathtaking, but today, I’m reminiscing about part one; their intimate legal ceremony at

Following on from my last post, this is a perfect example of how small, intimate weddings don’t mean sacrificing details (unless you choose to). K&P’s day was beautifully curated with stunning florals, an elegant cake, a Michelin-star meal, and of course, a planner to ensure everything flowed effortlessly.

Even in an intimate setting, every element was intentional, creating a day that felt just as special as a grand celebration. Because no matter the size, a wedding should always feel extraordinary.

Small Wedding, Big Impact.

Just because your guest list is smaller doesn’t mean planning is easier.
A more intimate wedding gives you the chance to focus on all the details, personalised touches, and unforgettable experiences but it still requires careful planning and expert coordination.

From curating a dreamy tablescape to ensuring every moment flows seamlessly, having a wedding planner means you can truly enjoy your big day without stress.

Instead of thinking less guests equals less work, reframe the focus on more room to create something extraordinary...and let's do that together!

This beautiful image taken by is from a styled shoot with the emphasis being on a small table set that goes heavy on the detail and a true example of what team work can achieve.
