▶️ Lots of planning is going on behind the scenes and we wanted to share a few ways you might want to get involved with the 'Fests:

🛍️ If you want to attend make sure you are following us and add your email via the StationeryFest website

🎟️ If you are interested in VIP or JournalFest tickets, make sure you are following those accounts and add your email via the PlannerFest and/or JournalFest website

✏️ If you are interested in having a stall at the event, please add your details via the expression of interest form (link in bio) and the brochure will be circulated very soon. (No need to add your details again if you have done so previously)

✨ If you would like to contribute to the goodie bags and raffle prizes and reach a passionate audience of stationery, planner and journal lovers, please add details via the relevant form from the bio

📢 We are very pleased to announce that the venue for StationeryFest, PlannerFest and JournalFest 2025 is: The Edge, Wigan, Greater Manchester

✨ This is a fantastic events space and we have full and exclusive use of the whole venue.

🧭 Located in the heart of the North West, Wigan is within Greater Manchester and The Edge boasts fantastic transport links:

🛣️ Road: Situated near the M6 and M61 motorways, the venue is easily accessible by car.

🅿️ There is free parking on site for 200 cars and other affordable car parking within a short walking distance.

🚄 Rail: Two mainline train stations are just a short walk away from the venue. Wigan North Western and Wigan Wallgate stations provide direct connections across the UK. For many locations the train journey is faster and cheaper compared to central Manchester stations

✈️ Air: Manchester and Liverpool John Lennon Airports are within an hour’s drive. There are 75 trains per day running between Manchester Airport and Wigan, which can take as little as 44 minutes on the fastest services.

🛏️ Hotel accommodation in Wigan is very reasonably priced.

🩷 The venue is fully accessible.

☕ There is a lovely coffee shop on site.

🥳 For many attendees, the overheads of attending the event will be greatly reduced.

🩷 We hit an unexpected snag with JournalFest this year and, unfortunately, haven’t been able to secure a date at that aligns with the availability of our suppliers and staff. As you can imagine, Manchester Central is in high demand, often booked out years ahead, and with the city being so busy in 2025, finding a suitable date has proven challenging for everyone involved.

🚗 This means that we had to go back to the drawing board and for 2025 the 'Fests are going on a road trip......

✨ Manchester Central is an amazing venue and we have loved working with the team for the past two years. We are sure that we will be back there in the future. We want to thank the venue for all of the support they have given to PlannerFest, JournalFest and StationeryFest.

We are doing a market with our craft packs made from reclaimed materials.

We have stickers, card packs, journaling packs, embellishments packs and lots more!

The market is open from 10 until 3pm with lots of hand made goodies and creations to look at, browse and buy.

📚 The Journal Club is coming to Manchester!

🖋️ Join Ian .paper.sparrow during lunch, from 12.30pm, in the VIP Creativity Zone.

✨ This will be a calm space, somewhere we can sit, gather our thoughts on paper, swap or share ideas and maybe some pieces you’ve purchased or brought from home (or found on the swaps table!).

💕 Ian is on hand to guide and encourage, with some pre-made inserts or ephemera and prompts and challenges.

🎈 Stay for the full 60 minutes or dip in to the Journal Club as you wish.

☀️ This is for those brand new to journalling, as well as experienced journallers - everyone is welcome!

✒️ No need to book, just come along!

📢 We are super excited to announce the next speaker at JournalFest and PlannerFest....

✍️ Roland Allen – avid notebooker, diary-writer, sketchbooker – is a publisher and author who lives in Brighton. He studied at Manchester University and works in book (and notebook) publishing. He has written about subjects as diverse as bicycles and bread, kept a diary for decades, and enjoys stationery a little too much.

📚 One day in 2014, Roland asked himself where notebooks came from. He then spent nine years finding out.....

📖 Roland is the author of 'The Notebook: A History of Thinking on Paper' - a must read for all planner, journal and stationery lovers!

📔 Ian .paper.sparrow will present: 'My Journal is a Mirror, not a Window'

🖋️ This session will explore how Ian, The Paper Sparrow, uses his journal for reflection rather than planning, knowing there is a difference between the two and the freedom this can bring.

📚 Also, join Ian for a special Journal Club session in the VIP Creativity Zone (more details about the VIP Creativity Zone to follow very soon!).

✨ Ian is an avid journal keeper and analogue enthusiast. He was always a stationery lover and hoarder but having fallen deeply into journaling during lockdown, he discovered the practice of journaling was a great creative outlet for recording ideas, emotions and the simple joys of everyday life. Knowing the beneficial impact journal keeping can have on mental health from personal experience, he hopes to encourage others into exploring this useful tool to express and reflect.

✍️ Ian hosts a monthly Journal Club in Hunter Paper Co, an independent letterpress card and stationery store in Ballyhackamore, Belfast. Journal Club is a space where anyone can journal alongside like-minded folk. Ideal for newcomers and seasoned journalers, they host a supportive and inspiring journal community.

📢 We are delighted to announce our second speaker.... Nadiah Alexandra will be speaking at JournalFest and PlannerFest 2024! Please give her a warm welcome!

✨ Nadiah is an artist, writer, wedding singer, creative educator, former primary school teacher and international policy leader with a postgraduate degree, specialising in Paediatric Neurodevelopment. Her research begins to build a bridge between neuroscience and education.

🖋️ Nadiah has been journaling and planning for over 10 years, using freedom mastery, passion planners, stalogy and hobonichi with over 30 volumes of commonplaced pages filled with insight and woven with love.

📚 Journaling and planning not only brings her peace and offers her a place to meditate on the beauty of the world but also enables her to take a moment to give gratitude to the grace she feels whilst living in it.
