Shaken or stirred?

One of the most famous cocktail pop culture references is of course, Mr Bond's martini order.

Funnily enough, we prefer a stirred martini.

But what's the difference? Well with a drink such as a classic martini, the artistry is in the details.

With proper dilution control, a stirred martini chills the mixture and dilutes it slightly, for a silky texture profile. It's important to manage dilution, as nobody likes a watery martini, but slight dilution can improve the experience for the guest.

A shaken martini creates air bubbles, which alters the texture of the drink for a lighter profile. It can also dilute the drink slightly more, as ice breaks down and blends with the mixture.

The difference is subtle. We however prefer a stirred martini (dirty of course 😉).

If you've never had one before, we'll add this to your menu free of charge, and see if you can tell the difference.
