Team IBKO - Day 1 of the WKO World Championships

Toby Harter - Gold & Bronze Medalist 🥇🥉
Blaze Lee- 2 x Gold Medalist 🥇🥇

Toby won his first ever gold medal at the world championships, what a great birthday present he gave himself.

Blaze taken 2 Golds in Kickboxing and Boxing beating high level competition from the UK 🇬🇧 and also a good fighter from the USA 🇺🇸

A small team altogether and at the 2nd day of the WKO world championships both fighters winning their semi finals:

Chris vs Eric Denis (France 🇫🇷)
Alexis vs Hannah Qurban (England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 )

In the finals Chris came up against well respected Ty Garrett from (America 🇺🇸) who won all of his categories taking the silver medal after jumping in last minute for the first time after 9 years!

This is not a comeback guys, it’s something I’d been saying I would do for years🤣

Finally, Alexis was up against Sarah Matterer from (France 🇫🇷) who also smashed her semifinal to earn her place in the finals. However came up short with a very skillful performance from Alexis to take the gold medal 🥇

Excited to announce AKKG fight night No.3 will go ahead on Sat 9th November ….. We are now matching fighters so if any clubs want their fighters to appear on this IBKO sanctioned K1 event please let us know ASAP & we’ll try our best to get guys matched up ….. The first two events that we hosted had loads of 50/50 fights which is apparent by the fact we have now had 7 IBKO Title fights & AKKG only hold 2 of those belts …. To all the fighters from other gyms who hold IBKO titles if you wish to defend yr titles with a view of moving onto British opportunities eventually, speak to your coaches & get in touch, once again we’ll do our best to get you matched up …. There is one vacant British K1 title up for grabs at 63kg as well with the last fight being a non contest so all in all fight night 3 is already shaping up to be a lot of fun !!

🏆 We did it! We're World Champions! 🌍✨ Immense gratitude to our incredible team, dedicated coaches, and passionate supporters. This victory is a testament to our hard work, determination, and unity.

We took a small team of 5 athletes to compete at the WKA World Championships 2024 and came away with;

We have 6 of our athletes all representing IBKO England and Scotland into the finals tomorrow. 🥊👍🌎🏅
