Throwback to the awesome US representation at VETstagram 2023 - who knew we'd have a GLOBAL event?

The feedback from Danielle Lambert from Snout School 's branding talk was incredible - and Katie even heard on a recent event from a practice who'd started to put her tips into action and saw awesome results so far. Make sure you drop her a follow.

Who's joining us one week today at The London Vet Show ?

Join Jack, Kirsten, Bolu and Katie at 2:50pm in Gallery Suite 17 for our panel session.

"Using your VETstagram voice: brands, content creation and collaboration"

This panel, featuring Dr. Kirsten Ronngren from Many Pets, Dr. Bolu Eso, and Jack Pye RVN from IMV Imaging, will be chaired by Dr. Katie Ford. The focus of the session is on creators in the realm of social media and their role in educating both pet owners and veterinary colleagues, as well as their ability to collaborate with brands. The objective of the panel is to unite the voices of the veterinary profession with those of branding teams to amplify messages and leverage everyone's unique talents.

Jack Pye RVN (pye_rvn) has taken his love of ultrasonography, and now works extensively with Imv Imaging.

Kirsten Ronngren turned her social media skillset and expertise to create educational content for clients as part of her role at ManyPets

Bolu Eso has worked with many brands over the years, using his profile for good, spreading the good vibes and even ending up on TV!

We're proud that this panel is part of the Vets: Stay, Go, Diversify Page Careers Trail - come and see how you can use social media to impact your career along the way.

We want to get as many of the community to this session as possible, so please come and join us.

Next up, the awesome Hannah Perrin from VMG!

We loved having Hannah attend VETstagram 2023 - she is quite simply a joy! ❤

Hannah is the Head of Learning at Development at the Veterinary Management Group (VMG - Veterinary Management Group), where they offer all sorts of leadership and management training options, as well as an annual conference.

The account for her personal brand is on Insta - and you'll be delighted to see lots of foster kitten pics!

Next up: the awesome Courtney!!

If ever someone was to make anaesthesia fun, interesting and entertaining, it is Veterinary Anursethesia aka Courtney. We know she has had us in stitches many times before, but equally, she knows her stuff.

(Courtney is an RVN and writes about empowering RVNs on her card, but I've learned loads from her as a vet too. Make sure you check out her content and podcast episodes too! - Katie)

We loved hearing her insights as an influencer at BVA Live 2022 from , when she was on a panel with Ebony Escalona, Fabian aka DreadyVet and Ben The Vet.

Thank you so much for all you do, Courtney!

Let's keep celebrating this awesome community!

These cards were filled out during and we loved them so much that we wanted to keep spreading the word.

Next up, we have feline advocate, Scottish RVN and Nikki, aka Feline Fabulous Veterinary Nursing ( on Insta!)

Nikki McLeod is one of the most kind and encouraging humans you could ever care to meet. She is always cheerleading and celebrating others, and we wanted to showcase her too.

Nikki is a Fear Free EliteLow Stress Silver Cert holder, and regularly talks about cat communication and making their experiences more feline-friendly.

Plus in and amongst all of this, she has a podcast too - all about behaviour for veterinary nurses.

Please go and drop the awesome Nikki a follow, we think SHE is fabulous!

We asked AI to create an image representing The London Vet Show. Don't forget, we have a Community Mastermind on Thursday!

💥We've had lots of questions about this one! 💥

Imagine your social media account was suddenly shut down... or you were hacked.😳

Suddenly, you went from 3000 followers.... to zero.

This is where an email list can come in.

As ever, we want to give a balanced view with extra resources and signposting.

Many of the email list building platforms will give guidance, as well as further support around ensuring you're compliant. Let's not let data protection terrify us out of doing it, but it's worth bearing in mind from the start.

Let us know what you think, have you found any useful tips or resources around this topic?

Calling the VETstagram Community!

We are looking for 40 changemakers to join us at a mastermind session during The London Vet Show in November, to give us their input as to the current challenges in veterinary social media.

This session is open to anyone - whether clinical team members, those in marketing roles, those keen to start and experts. We want to look at identifying the top 8 challenges, and how we can change these into opportunities to make social media a more inspiring, helpful place all round.

You can nab your spot here: https://london.vetshow.com/register-community-mastermind-session

Please do tag in and share with anyone that you might think is interested!

P.S. If you haven't nabbed your spot, the code VETstagram nabs you a cheeky discount, but only until the end of September!

Hold up, one second.

We know this is a lot of information.

Let us ask you a question:

What if you could make just one change to make your content more accessible and inclusive today?

You put out lots of awesome, educational posts and you might be able to help even more people with them.

Maybe we can use this platform even more to support and elevate others.

There are some amazing organisations out there doing fantastic work on a wider scale. Even a quick Google search will find you accredited organisations that will dive deeper into these topics.

This isn't a case of perfect, it's case of being open-minded and willing to learn. Be curious. Be interested. Ask questions.

We even learned a lot creating this resource.

We had an ace panel on this at VETstagram, with the start of conversations with , from and .

(Who's joining us for the Mastermind at London Vet Show? It's less than 2months away!!)

Let us know what you learned from this post ⬇️

Please do share it with anyone that you think will find it helpful. Remember, this is just the start, and by no means is this comprehensive.

This is probably the most important post we will ever make - please help us spread the word.

We know that this topic is incredibly emotive for so many of us - in the veterinary world and beyond - and especially so on social media.

We can do better as a community when we post about these topics online - individuals and businesses.

This isn't about judgement for the ways in which we've posted previously, this is about understanding evidenced ways to ensure we are not causing harm. Let's all do better together.

Dr. Rosie Allister is one of the most inspiring people that we know, and with her extensive experience and research in this area, we were grateful for her expertise.

Dr. Allister kindly gave permission for this video to be open access, and free for all. This session was originally recorded as an online resource for VETstagram 2023; after being a part of this session, we knew it needed to be spread further.

There are so many, highly evidenced things to consider when posting, when deciding if to post, and the types of post.

There is an opportunity to decide if this is a session you feel able to watch - as well as lots of signposting in the images, on the blog, and a reminder:

Vetlife is available to those involved in the UK veterinary community and can be reached via email or telephone 24/7 on 0303 040 2551.

Rosie explains what Vetlife can offer on the video. https://www.vetlife.org.uk/vetlife-email-support/ Vetlife Postvention Support https://www.vetlife.org.uk/mental-health/postvention/

I can't believe we're giving away this info for nothing 🤯

But, here you go. Dive in. It won't be there forever - let us know if these are helpful and we'll do a few more. This should really be an eBook - the irony - it might be soon, so catch it whilst it's here.

Shout-outs to our friends at Snout School, VetYou and Molymed Supplies along the way in this one.

🎉We wanted to keep adding value to the community 🎉

Many professional content creators spend hours making educational posts, replying to messages and interacting.

We have been asked frequently, is there a way to create an income stream from a following?

The good news is, there are lots of ways that this can be done whilst maintaining integrity.

We know that if this is to be done, it's important for it to be authentic and feel 'right' rather than sales-y and icky.

Let's face it, humans inherently have those 'spidey senses' for insincerity or the wish for a fast buck. There is another way.

In Part 1 of this series, we cover creating online courses. These can be brilliant options for those already giving webinars and with additional expertise, that can use them as a platform to deliver a deeper dive into an area, or a condensed hub of valuable content.

We also dive into the importance of ensuring you do this in a way in which you are protected and correctly set up, with signposting to resources.

There are many more to come - we appreciate this one isn't for everyone, but we are often asked, so, voila!

Head to https://www.vetstagramevents.com/post/monetising-a-veterinary-social-media-following-authentically-part-1-online-courses

You dropped your guesses, but were they right? 🥳

We are so excited to announce that we can bring another VETstagram gathering in 2023 🥳

Huge thanks to the team for making this possible and giving us space to make this happen.

We have a mastermind session where up to 40 of us can come together for an hour, and find creative solutions within the veterinary social media space and beyond.

Thursday November 16th at 4:30-5:30pm in the gallery suites.

Plus it's just before Happy Hour on the Exhibition floor on Thursday, so we can keep the discussions flowing and have an even bigger meet up.

We need YOUR help to form it and make sure it's as impactful as possible. Let me know if there are any topics or experts you'd like me to bring along.🙏

Register your interest today so we know rough numbers and let's make this happen. 🙌 Don't worry you're not signing yourself up for life, but if you're interested, we'll keep you in the loop.

Register your interest here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfmihzI53C6qthQ_xTxNeRq2l2mEo2Eun2j-Tft8pcnETdogw/viewform

This is open to anyone coming to London Vet Show. Overseas VETstagrammers, we believe London Vet Show is currently being accredited for 15hours of RACE too. The team at CloserStill have kindly given us a code to reduce ticket prices for you all (and no, we're not on commission 😂).

Oh and we WILL be back in 2024 with more offerings for you.

You'll also find the full LVS PDF guide on our website too (vetstagramevents.com). Have a nosey.

How exciting!

Who are your guesses on the panel? (If you're clever and download a guide...you might just spot them).

This is for everyone who attended 🥳

We did this together - the wonderful VETstagram veterinary social media community.

You all made the event into the fantastic day that it was, with so much connection and learning.

We are thrilled to announce that VETstagram 2023 has been shortlisted for CPD Event of the Year from The CPD Awards - we are tiny compared to the likes of the BBC and Bentley, with a planning team of 2 and an operations team of less than 10! ❤️

Thank you so much to the wonderful person that thought to nominate us.

Now, who'd be up for a get together a little sooner than next year? 👀

✨️ Community Spotlight ✨️

Those at know that we had an awesome section for YOU to show off what you do.

We wanted to widen that showcase and celebrate lots of the awesome members of the veterinary social media community.

First up, we have - the wonderful Lacey.

We aren't sure that we can sum Lacey up in one card - but she did beautifully point out that she actively decided to leave the 'mistake' on this as we all make them 🙏❤️ - that's the thoughtful human she is.

UK based Registered Veterinary Nurse, Lacey is one of the most authentic, kind and considerate sounds you'll ever care to meet - with a wonderful sense of humour and wit to boot. She's part of and a council member, as well as founding Veterinary Pay It Forward.

Check out Lacey's work to learn more about neurodiversity, use of language and so many current hot topics in the community. Her writing is beautiful, and she always considers making space for everyone at the table.

We have some very exciting announcements coming up (namely when gets better!) but keep your eyes peeled.

Do you know someone that runs their vet practice social media account?

Or creates their own content? Or wants to?

Do they want a day of upskilling and inspiration?

VETstagram tickets are only on sale until Friday and then the doors shut for good.

Ace reasons to come:

✨️ Actionable sessions so you can create content that speaks to your audience.

✨️ A global array of incredible speakers.

✨️ A 90minute confidence, storytelling and public speaking workshop included.

✨️ You'll be fed all day.

✨️ Time saving tips and tricks for busy practices

✨️ Tools for building communities, creating your brand and remaining authentic.

✨️ Learn about how to talk about emotive topics responsibly online

✨️ Spend time with an inspiring crowd, showcase what you do and find others to help you.

✨️ PLUS it's CPD

All of this for £95 (it's worth that just for the workshop alone 💥)

I'd really appreciate any shares. This is a venture I've done as ME, someone that wants to help others with their social media.

I'm not a huge company.

I don't have a marketing team.

Or a sales team.

If this wasn't a success (which I had faith it would be), it would have been me personally losing money.

Some might think it's a huge risk but I truly believe we can use these platforms for good.

I'd love to see even more people jump on board this flagship event over the next few days.

I cannot thank our incredible sponsors enough for backing me on this.

Hard truth time - if we don't use it, someone else will.

Social media gets a bad rap sometimes - yet we truly believe it can be a place for education, inspiration, and empowerment.

We also know that it's busy in practice, small vet-based businesses, and as solo creators.

We've curated an awesome one-day event to help you use social media for good - in your own way.

You all have so many skill sets, so much knowledge and wisdom to share.

VETstagram 2023 is going to be a fun and impactful experience where you can get actionable steps, connections and inspiration.

There are a handful of tickets left - so come and join us in Manchester on March 26th!

If you're looking for a woman who walks her talk 👏

We still can't quite believe that we are fortunate enough to have Danielle Lambert, CEO and Creator of Snout School joining us from the USA for VETstagram 2023.

Her branding is beautiful, yet she uses it in an impactful way to make change and opening conversations that have maybe been avoided - and she helps others to create impactful brands that disrupt the status quo.

Danielle is joining us for the entire day, not just her session - we can't wait!

We seriously have an awesome squad coming to VETstagram, don't have FOMO, nab your slot now.
