James Bowers

James Bowers Gay Club DJ, Producer & Presenter Playing everything from the deep and dirty to the fabulously trashy, James Bowers is Manchester’s latest London import.

Having played in over 15 of the best bars and clubs on the UK’s gay scene over the past decade, he’s entertained the likes of Pride queens, BBC Radio 1 nutcases and club kids with his distinctive mix of chart pop, dance, house and those all-important classic throwbacks. Honing his skills in a mixture of LGBT and commercial bars and clubs, as well as performing to crowds of over 1,500 clubbers for

the iconic Gatecrasher and Academy Music Group brands, James Bowers has held residencies up and down the UK - often warming his audiences up for guest performances from the likes of Greg James, Scott Mills, and Sara Cox. Every performer has their speciality though, and for James Bowers, it’s special events. His passion for bespoke playlist curation and crowd-reading makes him the regular go-to for the busiest nights of the year, and he’s no stranger to performing at Pride events - having taken to the Cruz 101 stage for Manchester Pride within his first year of hitting the scene, and having returned for three consecutive Pride events in Norwich. From This Is Electric - the UK’s dance powerstation - to Gaydio, the beat of gay UK, James regularly presents mix shows to hundreds of thousands of radio listeners across the country. Stateside, in the spiritual home of House Music, James can be heard on Chicago’s Nexus Radio - bringing his global audience to over a million people. He also leaves his 25,000 Twitter followers thirsty for more with his regular Hot Right Now podcasts - showcasing his unique blend of Bowers-approved mixes, along with special guests from some of the UK’s best clubbing brands. These have had 20,000 plays, racking up nearly 500,000 minutes listened - and that’s not counting iTunes.
