Meet Claire, one of our incredible Sixth Formers who recently had the fantastic opportunity to play with the BBC Philharmonic to launch the 2024 series of BBC Ten Pieces! Claire tells us how she was inspired to play the horn after hearing Mozart’s 4th Horn Concerto at the Ten Pieces as a child, and got the play the same piece for them 10 years later.A huge well done to all our students who performed at the launch 👏🧡 We couldn’t be more proud!
Sound and Vision: collaboration with Venture Arts
Meet Luke, one of our Composition Students who recently got involved in creating a piece of music for our collaboration with Venture Arts, Sound and Vision! He shares with us how he came up with his piece, ‘Snapshots of Nature,’ inspired by the photographic series by Francesca Sabor.
The pieces of artwork by Venture Arts’ artists are available to view in the Atrium, with student compositions being available to listen to on Soundcloud.
Great work from everyone involved in bringing this collaboration to life 🧡
