Our Story
Circus tent, wedding tent, festival tent, army tent, we do them all! Life's too short for boring white tents, get in touch if you want something a bit different for your wedding, event or festival. Festival Marquees was started about 5 years ago, and initially traded as Green Event Services. The founder, Matt Favier, has a background of working in the environmental, community and voluntary sector. Alongside this ran one of the North Wests best loved party sound systems and spent a lot of time creating events from scratch in fields, forests and festivals.
From these rather underground beginnings, a love of building spaces for parties and events was born, along with a passion for interesting tents and interiors. We looked long and hard at the existing market for marquee hire, and were struck by the fact that 90% of the companies out there offer pretty much the same range of structures, furniture and accessories, so we set out to do something different.
We love attractive, earthy, colourful and themed tents, and use a pretty unique range of structures, interiors and furniture, most of which you won’t find elsewhere. If you want a massive white ‘clearspan’ tent that looks much like a warehouse, we’re probably not the company for you!
