This is such a journey that is constantly evolving and growing.
We committed to creating a unique independent hub dedicated to hosting, supporting and encouraging the local creative scene while offering a safe space for all.
Cheetham Hill is rapidly becoming a beacon for the independent and alternative creative community and we are beyond proud to be part of it.
We are beyond excited to finally announce that with the support of GMCA we are creating a covered outside area that can be used year round for

Thank you to everyone who has been and still is involved and for those of you who will be involved.
Over the past year we are also especially proud to have watched grow into the extraordinary creative family it is today.
Looking forward to this next year in “The Hill” and praying that we all see a much more peaceful year ahead 🙏🏼

Genuinely beyond thrilled to let everyone know that has come onboard as a Creative Curator and is now officially part of The Yard Family 🥳
So much more news to tell but first of all a little intro in the words of Chris himself:

“Only just getting round to mention this, but am very excited and buzzing to shout that I’m now working on curating and bookings for ! 🙌

The venue has played host to a number of my own Sprechen events as well as home to for the last 2 years and already has a great varied programme of things taking place. 🪩

Clubs, live music, workshops, cinema screenings, performance theatre, markets, experimental art/performance/music, launches, fashion shows and more. All within a real grassroots venue in every sense of the word that is really stunning & unique.
Located just outside the centre…10 mins walk from Shudehill ❤️

On 16th December we welcome back for their final gig of 2024, and it’s set to be a whopper! Following the roaring success of Septembers Inaugural NQ JAZZ orchestra performance, next Monday will see the orchestra return. Expect familiar faces, and some new ones, they’re pulling in musicians from the Manchester, Liverpool, Yorkshire, Birmingham & London scenes.

The concert will feature an array of thrilling lesser heard compositions by some of the greatest jazz composers from the UK & beyond, as well as some of the band members’ own hot-off-the-press numbers.

A portion of tickets sales will go directly towards supporting future programmes. Without the support and generosity of the general public, many incredible organisations like NQ JAZZ simply cannot afford to run, so come out and support for one last time this year!

👻 THIS WEEK IN ROOM TWO, A HOMETOWN HERO DELIVERS GENRE BENDING PRODUCTIONS.

This Friday at 7pm our new series ROOM TWO continues with hometown hero who has had enjoyed a meteoric rise over the past few years.

He’s been causing a ruckus with his pristine, genre-bending productions and awe-inspiring sets, catching the eye of legend of the scene who signed him to his I FEEL imprint and local institution who recently signed new track ‘Chrome Echoes’ to their label.

This will be one for the books.

The jazziest and classiest student night in Manchester!

If you are looking for a budget friendly, modern take on a jazz night, then clear your calendar for the 26th November! MMU Media and Film students are taking over the Yard (Cheetham Hill) for an 18+ party with drinks, live acts and a DJ. Hop on the 41 from Fallowfield for a limited ticket event! Tickets on sale now with live acts being announced on the run up to the night, supporting jazz bands from the RNCM. Doors will open at 8pm, our first band starting at 9:15 sharp where we will continue until late...
Prepare yourself for some jazz-house fusion from the DJ in between sets.
