Comic Con Scotland Aberdeen GUEST ANNOUNCEMENT - PEGGY AKA DOGPOOL

Peggy, a charismatic and unique canine, captured hearts across the UK when she won the title of the UK's Ugliest Dog in 2023. Her distinctive looks and endearing personality quickly made her a beloved figure, both online and offline. Peggy's fame skyrocketed when she landed the role of Dogpool in the highly anticipated Deadpool and Wolverine film, showcasing her talent and charm on the big screen. With her growing fan base and undeniable appeal, Peggy is a one-of-a-kind star, ready to bring her unique touch to any project.

Before agreeing to the appearance, Monopoly Events have spoken in length to Peggy’s owners to ensure that her welfare and wellbeing is being considered at all stages. They have kindly provided the following information.

Peggy’s welfare is of course our top priority and every consideration has been made to ensure that she has an enjoyable experience. As such she will operate a reduced schedule in comparison to a standard Guest which will be flexible and driven by Peggy but we will keep everyone updated on her availability throughout the day. Peggy will have regular breaks for rest, air, walks, drinks, snacks and cuddles and her pet parents will be with her at all times making sure that she is comfortable. Whilst Peggy will not be held or picked up by anyone other than her Pet Parents everyone will still have a great interaction including Peggy. For her added comfort there will be no flash photography and she will be found in a quiet sectioned area relaxing on her own sofa with regular treats where fans can come one at a time, sit beside her and say hello. Peggy loves people and is one of the most relaxed dogs you will ever meet but loves lots of attention and being spoiled and is so used to lots of people from her time on set filming and the film premiers that she has attended. Peggy will be collecting donations for a local animal charity all weekend from her appearance.

Monopoly events

Monopoly Events is the brainchild of CEO Andy Kleek, and its aim is simple, to bring fans together to make fan-based and community driven events. Our slogan 'by the fans for the fans', sums up our ethos perfectly.

Monopoly Events offer a very diverse range of exhibitions, conferences and festivals. Since 2015 we have developed multiple brands, the first being For the Love of Sci-Fi which is now in its 5th year. From this initial convention many others have evolved. For the Love of Horror which crosses a scare attraction with a convention, For the Love of Fantasy, Time Quake Steampunk Festival, Awakening UFO & Conscious Life Expo, and even For the Love of Darts!

Branching off from For the Love of Sci-Fi we have also made Comic Con another one of our major brands, hosting the cities official Comic Cons in Liverpool, Edinburgh and now Manchester. Headline names we have booked include many first time UK and European exclusives including and to name a few, WWE legend Mark Calaway “The Undertaker”, William Shatner, Dolph Lundgren, David Hasselhoff, Teri Hatcher, Steve Guttenberg and many more.
