From start to finish the energy and happiness in the room felt like one big celebration and we couldn’t be prouder.

Massive thanks to .mcr for setting the pace before Kepler stepped up and delivered before going b2b with our residents for the last 2 hours.

Stuff like this is why we do it, so we’re absolutely made up.

Shoutout to the pre-party DJ’s for warming everyone up and the staff at the venue as always for making us so welcome.

For now, we hope you all have a mega Christmas and we’ll be back in the new year with more Cut the Rug goodies.

This is your sign to secure you ticket for tomorrow 🎫

With just one day to go until our final event of the year as graces the holy ground of basement, we thought we’d show you all our lovely new sign and provide any last minute information ahead of tomorrow.

- There’s an extremely limited number of Second Release tickets remaining, these are the cheapest way to guarantee entry to the basement.

- Tickets will be available on the door, cash/card accepted, first come first serve, we hit capacity at 12.30 on the last event so get down early.

- Pre-party starts at 6pm, entry is free with no basement ticket needed, so pop in for a beer or two.

- Basement opens at 10pm, you must have a valid ticket in you me RA app to enter.

- Last entry 12.00 get down early and support the DJ’s and the venue, it makes all the difference.

- 18+ Please have photo ID on entry

This Saturday we descend on for our final event of the year with on headline duties.

Fresh off a number 1 on Juno Records this week with his Step Up EP released on the .orbituk curator brings his masterful productions to a 150 capacity Northern basement kitted with a chunky rig 🔊

We kick off proceedings at 6pm with a FREE pre-party in the bar area before moving downstairs for more scenes like the above when Kepler took over Mint Club, Leeds.

Looking ahead to this Saturday’s party 🎯

As we enter event week, we thought we’d share set times for both floors nice and early.

We’ll be starting things off with a FREE pre-party in the bar from 6pm, no basement ticket needed for entry so feel free to pop down and join us for a few beers soundtracked by a line up of local talent if you’re out and about.

We head down the stairs into the basement at 10 with .mcr kicking things off before takes over for our final headline slot of the year.

We’d advise anyone joining us to grab an advance ticket, second release are limited but as always we’ll save some on the door for the last minute gang.

Get through work this week, then come join us on Saturday to see out the year with a big Cut the Rug celebration ✂️

As we close in on our return to with on the 7th December take a look at some of his unreleased work doing serious damage to dancefloors worldwide:

Introducing our Cut the Rug Residents …..

Supporting on the night will be our trio of residents RALLN, Cal Harkin & Dint Hulla.

Friends from school which then travelled to university where a love for music started to grow on a Numark Controller in Westbourne Road, then the kitchen of Flat 3 on Campus.

Cut the Rug was formed after Graduation, and you’ll struggle to find 3 people who’ve done more hours behind the decks in the basement than our lot.

Comfortable in the place they call home, the boys know the venue, the crowd and how to get it moving.

As always we’ll be throwing a pre-party in the bar from 6pm, no basement ticket needed.

For those joining us downstairs, we’re deep into second release, so we’d advise grabbing a ticket soon to save a few pennies.

For anyone after a few freebies, the competition on our previous post is live until Tuesday when we’ll pick a winner.

8 YEARS OF THE RUG ✂️❤️

Yesterday marked 8 years since our very first event back in 2016 at 1 Primrose Street with a big puddle in the middle of the dancefloor and a vague idea how to mix with a coach full from uni outside.

Since then we’ve grew up, graduated, got jobs and moved out - alongside a million other things in life.

But the one thing that hasn’t changed is how much we love to throw a party.

We’re 8 years and over 30 Cut the Rug’s deep so to mark the occasion, we thought we’d share a selection of pics from over the years.

There’s a few questionable hair cuts in there but enough memories to keep us smiling until we’re old and grey.

To everyone who’s danced with us over the years, thank you, we couldn’t do it without any of you.

Born and bred in the North of England, Kepler has cemented himself at the forefront of the underground with an ever consistent catalogue of releases on world renowned labels such as Dark Side of the Sun, Constant Sound, One Records & Mindhelmet.
