It’s a New Year and time to get work under way for the Penny Arcade extension. This will allow us to add an additional 6 machines for your enjoyment!

Well thats a wrap for 2023 and the Penny Arcade events. It’s been a great year and we have seen thousands of people enjoy playing our machines all over the country.

Looking forward to returning to our regular haunts in 2024 along with new and exciting ones.

Over the next few months you can follow us on this page as we service and restore our machines ready for another busy season ahead.

We are delighted to be once again bringing the vintage Penny Arcade to Erewash Museum this coming Saturday as part of the Ilkeston fair event .
Come and try your luck on the vintage machines, all money raised goes to the museum fund. We are open 12pm until 4pm

So here are some pictures of one of the latest one arm bandit projects. This one is a 1939 diamond front. 

So far, the mechanism has been completely stripped, cleaned and serviced. Repairs where necessary have also been made.

When stripping off some of the blue paint, the original finish has been exposed. This was originally a Chrome Bell. The entire cast iron outer casing of this machine was originally chrome plated with gold stars. Watch this space as we restore it back to its original spec.

There's just over a week until our big Christmas Craft Fair!

We will be busy decorating the furnace and Santa's grotto, ready to welcome lots of good children to see the big fellow before the big day. Tickets are £4 on the door and include Christmas crafts to do whilts you wait, a visit to Santa, and a gift for each paying child.
We will have 40 lovely local craft stalls for you to grab the perfect gift for your loved ones. To quench your thirst, we have the barrista for something warming and National Fizz for something extra warming. We also have a hog roast, Chuck Wagon and Funky Food to keep you fuelled through the day.
We are so excited to welcome Gresley Colliery band to the furnace who will be performing Christmas classics throughout the day.
We will also be running our festive boat rides and All Aboard Railways will be offering train rides on their miniature engine.
Finally, why not have a go on our classic penny arcade for just £1.
With free parking and free entry, it will be the perfect way to get festive and Christmas ready with something for the whole family to enjoy!

Booking forms for pre-booked weekend camping must be with us by Saturday 18th June.

The inclusive price of £50 covers you and your party (2 adults and children) for camping and admission on both days of the rally (Saturday, Saturday evening and Sunday).
For single campers, we are able to offer a special rate of £40 for the weekend.

If you miss the pre booking deadline, don't worry, you can still turn up on the rally weekend between 1pm and 9pm on Friday 1st July and look for the 'NON BOOKED CARAVANS' signs.

Time for a look inside the Sega 1963 mechanism. Here is the coin entry part of the machine. It was been altered to reduce its size to 2 pence coins. Lots of mess inside the main mechanism to clean up and rusty springs to replace.
