When we talk about your wedding photos and mini golf, people always assume we are talking about photos of the newly wed couple.
And of course those photos are wonderful.
But picture this…
You are sitting down to view your wedding gallery weeks after your wedding.
You missed some of the drinks reception because you were having couples portraits.
You scroll along and find pictures of your guests having this much fun on your wedding day.
You ping the photo over to the guests and their response “best wedding ever!”
Can you imagine it?

It all started with “Hi, I’m Al Morris” the first person to speak to a nervous straight out of University Sam in a new job.
Fast forward two years and that nervous Sam was telling Alan she liked him. He was at fishing and it was all a bit awkward. We went on a date to an ice cream shop and a second date to the driving range ⛳️

A wedding that started at 9am and finished at 1am the following morning, made us realise we wanted to work in weddings.

And many many years later, here we are using .co.uk Photo Booth (we were hosting golf for them too).

That is the short version of how Par-Tee Events came to be, the long version is much less fairytale with added stress of a pandemic, jobs, children and death of loved ones.

But we love our couples and our corporate clients and we are excited to see what the next year will be for our business and life.

Ps. Alan hid the sign until 2 seconds before the photo… he obviously picked up the wrong sign 🤣

The one thing our engaged couples forget about their wedding entertainment is the Prizes for wedding mini golf.

Thats right! 9 out of 10 of our couples forget they get prizes with their mini golf!
Sometimes we get messages asking if they can provide some and then we say, they are already part of the package.
Other times on a wedding day the couple say ““oh, we forgot about prizes!”
And the wedding guests certainly get excited about them too!
We can add additional prizes to the wedding crazy golf too or for our wedding games packages.
The other thing our brides and grooms often forget about is the scorecards that are included in their wedding entertainment. These can also be personalised as an add on.

We never wanted to work in weddings…
We both worked in a prison, we thought that was it, our careers, everything we had trained for.
But then we went to a wedding, a wedding that started at 9 am and finished at 1am the following day. And we wondered if there was something more.
When we started Par-Tee Events, we knew very little about how weddings worked, but we knew we wanted to be something that made people smile with our wedding entertainment.
We started with 9 holes and co****le (the game we played in our very first holiday together). If you’ve followed us long enough, you will know we originally offered a Prosecco wall as an add on.
What we didn’t realise was how much we would enjoy it, we enjoy getting to know our couples, witnessing there journey and then being there on the wedding day to see it all play out.
We decided a few years ago to have a member of the team stay with each golfing hire because venues didn’t want to be responsible for the golf and making sure nothing gets lost or broken.
Staying at a wedding means lots of things to us: we often get hugs, we interact with guests, our work days are the happiest of days. A stark contrast to our previous careers.
We now have 3 courses, 14 games and further expansions coming, we now get to pick our children up from school everyday and that is all down to our couples, for trusting us and wanting us to be a part of their wedding day.
Over 300 couples and we remember every single one of you, because each couple is special.
Anyway, we never wanted to work in weddings… but sometimes the universe shows you exactly where you should be before you realise. ❤️

As we get ourselves ready for the busiest weekend of June, we would like to introduce you to the newest member of Par-Tee Events.
As many of you know Par-Tee Events is very much family run, with Alan and Sam (Husband and wife), Sam’s dad, mum and our biggest child also occasionally helping out (hopefully she will take over one day). It was difficult to find someone else to join our team, out of 15 applicants, numerous interviews, we decided on Siv and we thank the universe that we found him.
He’s proven to be a hit with our couples and guests and has gone over and above at every wedding he’s been at and he already loves the wedding world as much as us.

And today is our own wedding anniversary!
3 things we learnt from planning our wedding…
1. Get a planner (we know some great ones)
2. Do what you want to do (people will have an opinion regardless).
3. Make sure you spend a few moments alone together on your day.
